Chairperson Raj Lali Gill : The Punjab State Commission for Women and the Punjab Child Rights Commission visited Ludhiana in connection with an incident involving one woman and three girls.
On Thursday, Punjab State Commission for Women Chairperson Raj Lali Gill and Punjab Child Rights Commission Chairman Kanwardeep Singh visited Ekjot Nagar in connection with the incident involving one woman and three girls.
Accompanied by ADC (G) Rohit Gupta, Gill and Singh were deeply shocked by the incident and pledged full support to the family. They demanded the harshest possible action against those responsible and instructed the police to hold everyone accountable. They emphasized that such incidents would not be tolerated and assured that the guilty would face exemplary punishment. They also met with Police Commissioner Kuldeep Singh Chahal to review the details of the arrests made so far.
Speaking to the media later, they stated that the main suspect would be arrested soon, as several police teams are actively pursuing him. Three arrests have already been made in connection with the case.
They also mentioned that instructions have been given to the Labour Department and other relevant authorities to address the issue of child labor malpractice.
