Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced on Tuesday that the Char Dham Yatra 2025 was successfully conducted for 51 lakh pilgrims, despite challenges caused by natural disasters and operational disruptions.
Char Dham Yatra Conducted Smoothly Amid Challenges
Speaking to the media after paying tributes on the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said authorities and stakeholders worked tirelessly to ensure a smooth pilgrimage experience. “This year’s Char Dham Yatra faced many challenges. Operations were disrupted for nearly three months due to natural calamities, but more than 5.1 million devotees completed the pilgrimage with a positive experience,” he added.

The Chief Minister congratulated the officials involved in managing the yatra and confirmed that preparations for upcoming winter pilgrimages are already underway. He emphasized the government’s commitment to organizing future Char Dham Yatras in a safer and more efficient manner.

In a post on X, Dhami paid homage to Guru Tegh Bahadur, describing him as a symbol of courage and devotion who sacrificed his life for the protection of religion and humanity.
Comments on Dhwajarohan at Ram Mandir
CM Dhami also highlighted the significance of the Dhwajarohan ceremony at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, noting that the saffron flag hoisted by PM Narendra Modi and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat represents Sanatan culture and the culmination of centuries of struggle. He stated that the event marks the beginning of a new era of faith and spiritual pride for the nation.
