The Chhattisgarh government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, has given a big relief to government employees ahead of Holi by implementing the announcement of increasing the dearness allowance of government employees up to 53 percent. The hike was announced by the government’s cabinet minister OP Chaudhary in the annual budget for 2025-26 presented in the assembly on March 3, which has now been officially approved by the finance department.
According to the order, the dearness allowance of government servants has been increased by 3 per cent to 53 per cent. Employees under the seventh pay scale will now get 53 per cent dearness allowance, while the dearness allowance of the sixth pay scale employees has increased by 7 per cent to 246 per cent. This revised allowance will be effective from March 1, 2025 and will be paid in April along with the salary of March.
