Governor Deka : Foundation Day of 5 states and union territories celebrated with colorful cultural programs at Raj Bhavan

Governor Deka : The foundation day of 05 states and union territories including Chhattisgarh was celebrated today under the “Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat” program at Raj Bhavan. On this occasion, Governor Shri Ramen Deka said that cultural diversity makes us rich and powerful.
The foundation days of the Indian states of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Union Territory Chandigarh were celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Raj Bhavan under the chief hospitality of Governor Deka Under the “Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat” program of the Central Government, launched on the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, all the states are celebrating the foundation day of each other to promote the spirit of unity in diversityIn this context, this program was organized at Raj Bhavan. In which people from these states residing in Chhattisgarh participated with enthusiasm.
In the program,Governor Deka  said that the objective of ‘Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat’ program is not limited to cultural exchange only. This program is a wonderful effort to unite the residents of different states of our country, which will further strengthen the unity and integrity of India.
Governor Deka  said that the foundation day of every state is an important day in the history and journey of development of that state. This day, witnessing the prosperity and development of the state, shows us the way to successfully fulfill the original objectives of the establishment of our state and fulfill the aspirations of the people.
Governor Deka  mentioned the specialties of all the states. He said that the natural environment and geographical location of Chhattisgarh is amazing. There is a lot of tourism potential here. He said that efforts will be made to promote tourism between the states of Assam and Chhattisgarh. उHe also praised the rice of Chhattisgarh. Underlining the important role of Madhya Pradesh in the freedom struggle, he remembered the brave fighters there.Mentioned the charity of the people of Punjab state. The history of Punjab is full of sacrifices of which every countryman is proud. The state of Punjab and Haryana gave a new energy to the country through the Green Revolution.


Governor Deka  said that all these states have made unprecedented contribution to the development of India. Be it the field of agriculture, industry, art, sports, education or tourism, the contribution of these states in all fields is commendable.
Together we all have to not only empower our states economically but also take care of cultural prosperity, social harmony and mutual brotherhood. In the program, students of various universities gave colorful presentations of cultural programs based on culture and folk traditions of all the states.Folk dances like Sua, Sarhul dance, Gedi dance, Nacha of Chhattisgarh, Bhangra of Punjab, Giddha, Ghoomar of Haryana and Rai dance of tribes of Madhya Pradesh enthralled the guests.
The Governor Deka presented the state towel and memento to the representatives of various states. He also honored the Governor by presenting him a memento on behalf of his state. The representatives of Punjab presented Saropa to Shri Deka.
Padmashree Anuj Sharma as representative of Chhattisgarh, Mr. Akash Deep Gupta of Madhya Pradesh, Mr. Daljit Chawla as representative of Punjab, Mr. Amit Agarwal as representative of Haryana were honored by the Governor.
Governor’s Secretary Mr. Yashwant Kumar, Legal Advisor Mr. Bhisham Prasad Pandey, Joint Secretary Mrs. Hina Animesh Netam and a large number of youth, women and distinguished citizens of Chhattisgarh resident of all these states and union territories were present in the program.
