Chhattisgarh NEWS : The convocation ceremony will be held under the chairmanship of Governor Ramen Deka.
Chhattisgarh NEWS: The tenth convocation of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Raipur will be held on 1st February 2025. The function will be held at Krishi Mandapam, College of Agriculture, Raipur at 11.00 a.m. in which 4,191 students will be awarded degrees.
The function will be presided over by the Governor and Chancellor of the University, Shri Ramen Deka, while Dr. Vanga Siva Reddy, former Director, International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, New Delhi, will deliver the Convocation Address as the keynote speaker. Dr Girish Chandel, vice-chancellor of the university, will deliver the convocation address. 16 Gold, 18 Silver and 4 Bronze medals will be awarded to meritorious students on the occasion. A grand procession will also be taken out on the occasion.
A total of 4,191 Post Graduate and Ph.D. students including students of B.Sc Agriculture, B.Sc Horticulture, B.Tech Agricultural Engineering and Food Technology courses of the academic year 2022-23 and 2023-24 will be awarded degrees. In addition, 818 students will be awarded Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD honours certificates.
Special arrangements have been made for the students. Students will wear white kurta and white pyjama, students will wear white saree and guests will wear white jacket. The meeting will be attended by deans of various faculties, heads of departments, heads of departments and heads of departments of the university.
