Chhattisgarh NEWS : Under the “Krishi Kranti” campaign, this two-day conference will be held on 28th and 29th June at Zila Panchayat Complex, Jashpur with an aim to connect the farmers of the district with the market at the national level and get better prices for their products. In order to promote agriculture, horticulture and sericulture in Jashpur district, Agri-Hotty Buyer Seller Meet 2025 is being organised for the first time by the district administration.
On the first day of the conference, buyer-seller introduction sessions, technical know-how on crop storage, preservation and processing, as well as quality standards, regulations and marketing arrangements to promote exports of agriculture, horticulture, silk and forest produce will be provided. A variety of agricultural products will also be on display.
On the second day, June 29, entrepreneurs from different states of the country will be given a direct tour of the farms and products of the district, so that they can know the products of the farmers and make possible agreements. This will be an important step towards direct communication and marketing between farmers and companies through F.P.O. (Farmer Producer Organisation). This will eliminate the role of middlemen and farmers will get a fair price for their produce.
The district administration has informed that representatives of national and state level establishments associated with agriculture, horticulture, forestry and silk sector, exporters, experts and small forestry association have been invited to this conference. Jashpur is already famous for organic farming, sericulture and forest medicines, so through this event, local products will be connected to the big markets of the country.
Crop competition among pear and mango growers will also be organised in the conference, which will encourage quality production. At the same time, new opportunities for self-employment are also likely to be created for farmers in the field of contract farming and food processing.
