Chhattisgarh News : In order to maintain law and order during the ten-day Ganeshotsav and Eid-e-Miladunnabi festival in Kanker city, a meeting of the district level peace committee was convened today under the chairmanship of Collector Shri Nileshkumar Mahadev Kshirsagar, in which he appealed to all sections to organize the festivals with mutual social harmony, brotherhood and harmony like previous years. He also asked the organisers of all the committees to extend necessary and required cooperation and follow the rules and laws set by the government.
Addressing the district level peace committee meeting held at the conference hall of the district office here today, the Collector appealed not to spread unverified rumours and misleading news through social media without factual corroboration so that no adverse atmosphere is created. The collector also urged to be careful of such message content, so that no one’s religious sentiments are hurt.
He requested the office bearers of the committee to extend necessary cooperation to follow the rules and guidelines set by the National Green Tribunal and the High Court of Bilaspur regarding idol immersion. The Collector specifically appealed that following the guidelines issued by the High Court, DJ, Dhumal, highbase woofer sound system should not be used during Ganesh idol immersion. Similarly, micro planning will be done jointly by the district administration and the police for idol immersion, procession, procession and route chart for tableau display, in which a detailed action plan will be prepared regarding all essential services, facilities, security aspects, parking, route chart etc. Meanwhile, the Collector asked all the organisers to complete the immersion of idols and the procession by 10 pm.
In the meeting, Additional Collector Jitendra Kumar Kurre informed about the directions of the NGT and said that the organizing committees will have to take formal permission from the competent authority of the district administration. It was also informed that as per the decision passed by the NGT in the procession, the limit of loud speaker devices will be 10 decibel A / 75 decibel (A). To prevent noise and environmental pollution, a time limit of 10 pm has been fixed, which all the organizing committees must adhere to. He also said that it is mandatory to bring to the notice of the district administration and police administration about all kinds of events during the immersion of idols and only after the permission of the competent authority, the construction of welcome gates, stage-pandals and public programs should be organized.
Apart from this, care should also be taken that the songs and music played during the procession should be melodious, dignified and devotional. Carrying any kind of weapon during the tableau or procession will be strictly prohibited and the respect and safety of women should be specially taken care of by the organizing committees. The Additional Collector also elaborated on various directions of NGT and High Court of Chhattisgarh.
During this time, the office bearers of various committees also gave their suggestions to ensure traffic arrangements, electricity supply, crowd control and other necessary arrangements during the idol immersion.
