Chhattisgarh NEWS : Water is the basis of life, villagers suffering from water shortage are now breathing a sigh of relief through Har Ghar Nal-Har Ghar Jal under Jal Jeevan Mission. The Jal Jeevan Mission scheme of the state government has started providing clean drinking water to thousands of homes in Koriya district. This has brought a big change in the daily routine of the villagers.

Mansingh of village Kachhwakhoh says that for him the dream of having a tap in his house never seemed a reality. Water shortage and mutual disputes had made their life difficult.
But under Jal Jeevan Mission, tap connection reached his house, and now he has got rid of water issues. Mansingh says emotionally, ‘Shyah is no less than a miracle for us.’

Tap connections have reached 1477 houses in 13 villages and thousands of villagers are getting the facility of clean and safe water. It is being continuously monitored by the Collector where there are deficienciesIt is being removed and work is being done to provide tap connections and water to other villages and houses of the district soon. Through Jal Jeevan Mission, we have not only solved the water problem in rural areas but have also raised their standard of living.
This scheme is not only providing relief from water crisis but is also improving the lives of villagers in many dimensions like health, cleanliness and time saving.
