Chhattisgarh NEWS : In view of the possibility of heat stroke due to increase in temperature with the onset of summer in the district, the Health Department has issued necessary contemporary advisory as per the instructions of Collector Nileshkumar Mahadev Kshirsagar to spread awareness about prevention and management of heat stroke. Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Mahesh Sandiya has given detailed information to the people of the district regarding prevention of heat stroke and precautions to be taken in case of heat stroke.
Symptoms: Headache, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, fever, chills, headache, weakness and weakness.
Measures to prevent heat stroke – He said that the main cause of heat stroke is the lack of salt in the body due to the strong sun and staying in heat for a long time. To avoid this, the following points should be borne in mind:
Do not go out of the house unless it is very necessary, tie the head and ears well with a cloth before going out in the sun, drink a lot of water, do not stay in the sun for a long time, wear soft soft cotton clothes during summer so that air and sweat can be absorbed. In case of excessive sweating drink O.R.S. solution, in case of dizziness, vomiting rest in a shady place and take cold drink and water or if available fruit juice, lassi, buttermilk etc. In case of vomiting, headache, high fever, necessary advice should be sought from the nearest hospital or health centre.
Initial treatment for heat stroke – put a bandage of cold water on the head of the person suffering from fever, drink more water and drinks like raw mango leaf, jaljeera, etc. Make the victim lie down in the air under the fan, keep sprinkling cold water on the body, take the victim to a nearby medical center for treatment as soon as possible.
