Chhattisgarh NEWS : Under the direction of Collector Mr. Vinay Kumar Langeh and under the guidance of Zila Panchayat CEO Mr. S. Alok, Muskan Agrani Mahila Farm Producer Company Limited located in Basna block of Mahasamund district under STRI initiative, a joint project of HDFC Bank CSR and GT Bharat in collaboration with BIHAN has set up a custom hiring center under the scheme “Submission on Centrally Sponsored Agricultural Mechanization.”
Under the scheme, the group’s women-run company has received agricultural machinery worth Rs 14 lakh, including tractors, threshers, cultivators, reapers, seed drills and hand sprayers. Under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Submission on Agricultural Mechanization by SBI Bank, Branch Basna, the company has been given financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh loan and back-end subsidy of Rs 8 lakh has also been sanctioned by the Central and State Government.
These machines will be made available to FPC members under the Custom Hiring Centre model, enabling farmers to hire modern equipment at affordable rates. The main objective of this scheme is to provide modern agricultural equipment to the farmers at an affordable rate, which can increase their productivity and profitability. Smt. Anjana Sahu, Chairperson of the Company said that more than 500 women farmers and other small and marginal farmers associated with the group will get the benefit of this scheme, which will save time and cost in their farming work and farming with modern equipment will increase the yield and profit by 30 percent. Mrs. Anjana Sahu, President of the company said that all the directors were very supportive in taking advantage of this scheme. He specially thanked Mr. Mohammed Sheikh Adil, Branch Manager and Mr. Sameer Gupta, Assistant Manager of SBI Bank Branch Basna. who provided timely financial assistance and facilitated the work. The special support of Agricultural Engineering Department Raipur, SBI Bank, Bihan Department District Mahasamund and Block Staff Basna and Cluster Manager of GT Bharat Shri Ankit Kumar has been instrumental in making this scheme a success at the ground level.
