Chhattisgarh NEWS : Dhamtari has become a source of income for three youths of the district under Project Yojana, one of the employment orientated schemes of the government for the youth in the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai. The results of Project Yuva in Dhamtari district have now started coming. Under this project, three youths of Gangrel-Rudri have now adopted their hobby as employment by taking free training in photography. Sunil Sahu, Kirtan Sahu and Bhuvan Meenpal have opened their photography shop at Angarmoti on the banks of Mahanadi. The three youths provide instant prints to the tourists coming to visit Maa Angaar Moti by taking attractive photographs in different places. All the three youths are earning Rs. All three expressed their gratitude to the State Government for materialising the concept of Project Yuva and providing self-employment to the youth of Dhamtari at the local level.
Free training in photography enriched the art of photography. The art of photography has now become a means of earning, photography was once just a hobby, now it has become a job. Kirtan Kumar Sahu, a local resident of Gangrail, and his friends Sunil Sahu and Bhuvan Meenpal have become self-reliant through photography. Thanks to the free photography training given by the district administration. “We used to take pictures earlier too, photography was our hobby, but there was a lack of technique and understanding. When the district administration gave free professional training in photography in Project Yuva, it was understood that a photo is not just a click, but an art. “The three friends learnt the nuances of photography in this training. The camera features include light, aperture, frame, and speed. Learn the basics of indoor and outdoor photography.
After the training, today the trio of Kirtan, Sunil and Bhuvan have started the work of photography at the tourist places like Gangrel Dam and Angarmoti Complex. On the days of holidays and on the occasion of special fairs, their income reaches one to one and a half thousand rupees per day, while on normal days it reaches five hundred to one thousand rupees. The free training under Project Yuva not only honed their art but also became a means of earning. This initiative is an example for the youth who have talent but do not get the right direction.
After the training, these three youths have also been helped by the district administration to start a photography stall. They have also been given attractive stalls free of cost which are readymade and easy to assemble. Now these youngsters print attractive photos of tourists with the help of a battery-operated printer and make them available immediately. Soft copies of photos are also being made available to people in their pen drives or mobiles at discounted rates. Now tourists are also getting sweet memories of their stay from this photo booth.
Under the YUVA programme, students studying in class XII to college in Dhamtari district are being trained in modern digital technologies and professional skills. These youth are being trained in such small business courses of one-two months, after which they can start their self-employment immediately. In the first phase, the administration is providing training in short-term occupations such as digital marketing, graphic designing, free-lacing, cyber security, AI technology, drones and robotics, financial management, chef and cooking and beautician.
