Chhattisgarh NEWS : A time bound meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Collector Shri Vinay Kumar Langeh in which necessary guidelines were given to all the departments for expeditious disposal of pending applications received under Good Governance Tihar. Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma, Joint CP Harsh Dayama, MC Additional Commissioner Aditya Dachalwal, MC Joint Commissioner Ankur Mahindru, ADC Khanna Sakatar Singh Bal, besides several others were also present on the occasion.
The meeting reviewed the preparations for the ‘Ek Vridh Maa Ke Naam 2.0’ campaign. The campaign will run from June 5 to September 30, under which fruitful saplings will be planted in schools, anganwadis, panchayat bhawans, Amrit Sarovars, ponds and mining areas. The Forest Department informed that 10 lakh saplings have been prepared this year, out of which 2 lakh saplings are available in nurseries. Instructions were also given to increase inter-departmental coordination and citizen participation in the campaign. Saplings will also be planted around the Prime Minister’s residence. Also, the forest department was directed to issue a list of toll-free numbers and centres for the distribution of saplings.
Preparation for “Vikas Krishi Sankalp Yatra” was also discussed in the meeting. The tour will begin on May 29. Collector Mr. Langeh has given instructions to use visual and audio mediums for its publicity. Suggestions received from farmers will be collected. Emphasis was laid on promoting cultivation of millets in particular and cash crops in place of paddy crop. It was also planned to share the experiences of successful farmers. Under the ‘Mor Gaon Mor Pani’ campaign to promote water harvesting in rural areas, all districts have been asked to propose construction of at least 25 water structures. Basna and Saraipali districts have been allowed to give more proposals than this. Instructions have been given to the PHE department to immediately close the open borewells, especially the borewells near schools, anganwadis and farms.
The Collector advised the use of ‘Damini App “to stay alert of lightning in view of the upcoming rains. The PHE department was asked to ensure chlorination and hygiene in the drinking water tanks and submit a certificate to ensure that there is no leakage in the pipeline. Also, the Collector reviewed the Revenue Department, Swamitva Scheme, Public Service Guarantee Act. Also, instructions were given to remove stray animals from the main road. The excise and police departments were directed to take continuous action to stop the sale of illegal liquor. He directed the health department to be on alert mode to be vigilant against seasonal diseases. All CMOs were asked to ensure regular cleaning of drains and intensify cleaning work. In the meeting, the District Education Officer informed that the list of remaining teachers has been prepared under the process of rationalisation and the process of counselling will be started soon. During the review of PM Janman Yojana, it was informed that Aadhaar cards and birth certificates of 124 persons have not been made, which will be made as soon as possible.
