Chhattisgarh NEWS : Surajpur to Receive Modern Central Library and Reading Zone with Rs 441.49 Lakh Funding

Chhattisgarh NEWS : In a significant move to enhance educational infrastructure in North Chhattisgarh, the state government has approved a budget of Rs 441.49 lakh for setting up a state-of-the-art Central Library and Reading Zone in Surajpur district for the financial year 2025–26. Spearheaded by Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade, the project is set to benefit thousands of students and youth across the region.

The proposed facility will accommodate 250 people and will be equipped with digital learning tools, e-modules, high-speed internet, designated reading areas, and a tech-based library management system. It will cater to school students, competitive exam candidates, and book lovers.

Minister Laxmi Rajwade expressed her heartfelt appreciation to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and Finance Minister Shri OP Choudhary for giving the green light to the initiative. She remarked, “This is more than just infrastructure—it is a stepping stone toward a brighter, knowledge-driven future for our youth.”

The announcement has received widespread support in Surajpur. Students, parents, and residents have welcomed the development, calling it a transformative milestone for the district’s academic progress. Many view it as a much-needed step toward promoting educational equality, empowering learners, and cultivating a focused learning culture in emerging regions.
