Chief Minister, all the arrangements should be completed on time with quality.All preparations for the 38th National Games to be held in Uttarakhand from 28 January to 14 February 2025 should be completed with better arrangements. Organizing the National Games is not only a matter of pride for the state, but it is also an important opportunity to promote the sports culture and development of the state.National Games will also establish Uttarakhand as a sports ground. Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami said this while reviewing the preparations for the National Games at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Monday.
The Chief Minister directed the officials to ensure that all the facilities for the players are of high quality and accessible. For successful organization of National Games, a nodal officer should be deployed from each department.Proper arrangements should be made to manage and monitor the players’ accommodation, catering, transportation and all facilities to reach the venue. Special care should be taken about the quality and nutrition of food. The Chief Minister instructed the Chief Secretary that all the arrangements should be reviewed every day for better organization of the National Games. The Sports Minister and the Chief Minister himself will review the preparations for the National Games from time to time and take stock of various arrangements.The Chief Minister directed that while purchasing all sports equipment, their quality and standards should be kept in mind. Adequate arrangements for medical facilities should be made at the event venues. All necessary arrangements should be made to face any emergency situation during the Games.For security reasons, adequate arrangements for CCTV cameras and security should be made at the event venues.
The Chief Minister directed that special attention should be paid to environmental protection at the event venues. Strict steps should be taken to limit the use of plastic. The National Games to be held in Uttarakhand are being organized on the theme of Green Games. He said that along with proper arrangements for drinking water and toilets, special care should be taken for cleanliness for the visitors visiting the venues. All departments should work in full coordination for successful organization of National Games. District Magistrates will also have an important responsibility in making this event successful.
The Chief Minister said that the cooperation of the people of the state will also be taken for successfully organizing the National Games to be held in the state. The Chief Minister instructed the officials that all the concerned departments will improve the arrangements at the sports venues with their responsibilities. He laid special emphasis on road connectivity, cleanliness and all better arrangements for sports. The Chief Minister has also given instructions for fire safety audit in view of the National Games. Created by the Indian Olympic Association for the 38th National Games Games Technical Conduct Committee Chairperson Sunaina Kumari said that preparations for the National Games are being done well in Uttarakhand.Infrastructure facilities are developing rapidly. Committee member Shri Digvijay Singh said that very good work has also been done in the field of infrastructure in Uttarakhand. Preparations for organizing the games are also going on smoothly.
He said that if every stadium is tested before organizing the National Games, then all the games will be conducted successfully. On this occasion, the officials there also shared the experiences of the National Games organized in Gujarat and Goa. After the meeting, the Chief Minister met the archery players and boosted the enthusiasm of the players by participating in archery himself.
