Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, extending his greetings to the people of the country and the state on the occasion of Parashuram Jayanti, said that following the gift of the Shri Mahakal Mahalok Corridor by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Ujjain has set new benchmarks in development. He stated that Ujjain is being developed as a major hub for religion and religious tourism. Highlighting the unifying power of faith, Dr. Yadav said that religion is the force that holds society together. He further emphasized that organizing mass marriage ceremonies is a significant step toward social reform. The Chief Minister made these remarks while addressing the mass marriage event held in Daudkhedi.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that organizing mass marriages promotes economic efficiency and helps families avoid the burden of unnecessary wedding-related expenses. Under the mass marriage scheme, each bride is being provided financial assistance of ₹49,000, while the organizing body receives ₹6,000 per beneficiary to support the event.
Chief Minister Kanya Vivah/Nikah Scheme proved to be a boon
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, while offering obeisance to Trikaldarshi Mahamrityunjay Baba Shri Mahakal, said that on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, mass marriage ceremonies are being organized at various locations across the state. He recalled a time when parents, burdened by financial concerns, often fell into debt to arrange their daughters’ weddings. The birth of a daughter brought immediate worry about future marriage expenses. However, today, the government itself is solemnizing the marriages of daughters, bringing relief and joy to families.He noted that parents no longer feel sorrow at the birth of a daughter—instead, they celebrate the occasion with songs of joy. The Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah/Nikah Yojana has become a blessing for the marriage of daughters from economically weaker families. Dr. Yadav emphasized that mass marriages are not only easing financial stress but are also fostering social change, promoting harmony and a sense of collective belonging within society.The Chief Minister extended his congratulations and blessings to the 70 newlywed couples participating in the mass marriage ceremony.
Our state is a role model for women empowerment
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that the initiatives being undertaken in Madhya Pradesh for women empowerment are gaining national recognition, with several states adopting the Madhya Pradesh model and drawing inspiration from its schemes. In alignment with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s resolution to empower the underprivileged, youth, farmers, and women, the state government is making dedicated efforts to provide comprehensive social and economic support to women.
For the fiscal year 2025–26, a provision of ₹27,147 crore has been allocated for the welfare and development of women in the state. Over 5.03 lakh self-help groups have been formed, comprising more than 62.30 lakh women members who are actively benefiting from government livelihood programs. The government remains committed to enhancing women’s health, nutrition, education, and economic independence, ensuring holistic empowerment for women across Madhya Pradesh.
The development of rural areas gained new momentum due to construction of roads and bridges
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that under the Shri Krishna Pathey Nyas, sites associated with the divine pastimes of Lord Krishna are being developed into prominent religious centers. He emphasized that the state government is giving top priority to rural development through the construction of roads, bridges, and essential infrastructure in villages.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav extended his blessings to 23 newlywed couples at the 38th Mass Marriage Conference organized by the All India Shri Brahma Bhatt Kshatriya Samaj in Ujjain. He congratulated social worker Shri Radheshyam Parmar and his team for their commendable efforts in organizing the event. As a token of goodwill, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav presented silver anklets to the newlyweds and personally interacted with them, wishing them a joyful and prosperous married life. On this occasion, the Brahma Bhatt Samaj also honored the Chief Minister for his presence and support.
