Chief Minister Dr. Yadav : Jal Kalash Yatra of Panna, development works worth more than Rs 98 crores gifted in Sant Sammelan
- 100 bedded girls and 50 bedded boys hostel will be opened in Ajaygarh
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, while inaugurating 13 development projects worth ₹98 crore during the Jal Kalash Yatra, Sant Sammelan, and Public Welfare Camp held in Panna, stated that December 25 will mark the opening of new avenues of progress for the Bundelkhand region. He expressed his vision that every individual in Bundelkhand will experience happiness and prosperity. He said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for the Ken-Betwa River Linking Project in Khajuraho on the 100th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. During the event, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also announced the construction of a 100-bed girls’ hostel and a 50-bed boys’ hostel in Ajaygarh, Panna district. The Chief Minister was honored with a traditional Bundelkhandi turban during the program, and Anganwadi workers presented him with a painting of Bhagwan Shri Jugal Kishore as a token of respect.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that Bundelkhand is stepping into a new era with the implementation of the country’s first river interlinking project. He emphasized that the much-anticipated Ken-Betwa Link National Project will transform Bundelkhand, providing large-scale irrigation and drinking water facilities. Additionally, the project will boost power generation, enhance crop production, and drive the development of the tourism sector, ensuring widespread prosperity for the region’s citizens.Dr. Yadav made these remarks while participating in the Jal Kalash Yatra, Sant Sammelan and Jankalyan Parv held at the playground of Government Polytechnic College, Panna, on Thursday.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Jankalyan Parv is being celebrated on the completion of one year of the government. The Chief Minister said that the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal river linking project, pending for the last 20 years, will bring prosperity to Chambal and Malvanchal. The construction of this project costing Rs 70 thousand crore will now be done smoothly. He said that the state government is committed to the welfare of the poor. There is immense potential for development in the religious sector also for which the government is making efforts. Along with the development of pilgrimage areas, schemes are being run for the welfare of the entire society and the upper class. Efforts are also being made to increase employment opportunities through industries. Recently, Regional Industry Conclaves have been successfully organized at the divisional level. During the visit to England and Germany, investors have also been invited to the proposed Investor Summit in Bhopal in the coming month of February.
Khajuraho MP Shri Vishnudutt Sharma said that the Ken-Betwa link project will prove to be the lifeline of Bundelkhand. With this, lakhs of people in the area will get drinking water facilities and farmers will get ample water for irrigation. He said that as a result of the vision and positive thinking of the Chief Minister, other development schemes will also be implemented. Former minister and MLA Shri Brijendra Pratap Singh said that the collaborative efforts of the central and state governments for the Ken-Betwa link project are commendable.
Departmental Exhibition Becomes the Highlight of the Event
During Chief Minister Dr. Yadav’s stay in Panna, an exhibition focused on public welfare and development was also organized at the venue. Stalls were set up by various departments directed by the district administration. The Chief Minister inspected the exhibition and appreciated it. Also, after observing the products manufactured by the women of the group in the stall of Livelihood Mission, they also tasted the dishes. A diamond exhibition was also organized here by the Diamond Office. On this occasion, the 17-carat diamond obtained the previous day was also displayed.
State Backward Classes Commission Chairman Dr. Ramkrishna Kusmaria, District Panchayat President Meena Raje, MLA Shri Prahlad Lodhi, Municipality President Smt. Meena Pandey and officials and a large number of common people were also present in the programme.
