Chief Minister Mohan Yadav : Lakhs of citizens of 87 development blocks of 21 districts will get health facilities
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav : In line with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s motto of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’, a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) service is being started under ‘PM Janman’ to provide health services to remote and backward areas of the state. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will flag off 66 mobile medical units for 87 development blocks of 21 districts under PM Janman Yojana on Monday, 6 January. The programme will be held at Chief Minister’s residence, Shyamla Hills. These mobile medical units will ensure smooth delivery of health services in remote areas of the state.
3.12 lakh population of 1268 villages will get health services
Each mobile medical unit costing Rs 33 lakh 86 thousand will provide easy health services to a population of more than 3 lakh 12 thousand people of 1268 villages in 87 development blocks of Anuppur, Ashok Nagar, Balaghat, Chhindwara, Datia, Dindori, Guna, Gwalior, Katni, Mandla, Morena, Narsinghpur, Satna, Shahdol, Sheopur, Sidhi, Shivpuri, Jabalpur, Raisen, Umaria and Vidisha districts. These units equipped with GPS will have equipment like a suction machine, autoscope for ear examination, X-ray machine, stretcher, oxygen cylinder, etc.
Village tour for 24 days of a month
The mobile medical unit will visit villages 24 days a month and provide health facilities to the villagers. The unit will visit 2 villages and see 50 patients in a day. In this unit, one doctor, nurse, ANM/MPW, lab technician, and physiotherapist will provide services to the patients. 65 types of medicines will also be given to the patients. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla and Minister of State for Public Health and Medical Education Shri Narendra Shivaji Patel will also be present in the programme.
