Chief Minister Nitish Kumar held a high level review meeting of law and order with the Director General of Police and other senior police officials at Sankalp, 1 Aney Marg. The Chief Minister directed the officials not to take any laxity in controlling crime. Strict action will be taken against erring officials and police personnel.
In the meeting, the Director General of Police apprised the Chief Minister of the updated status of the work being done on crime control. Chief Minister Nitish sought details from the Director General of Police in connection with the murder of industrialist Gopal Khemka. During this time, he said that the causes of the crime should be fully investigated, the guilty should be identified and strict action should be taken against them without any discrimination. If there is any conspiracy behind the crime, it should also be investigated and strict action should be ensured after the investigation.
During the review, Chief Minister Nitish said that law and order is the topmost priority of the government. No one who commits a crime should be spared. He said that the investigation of criminal incidents should be expedited and completed on time so that prompt action could be taken against the culprits. Police and administration are on a high alert to maintain law and order.
