CM Bhagwant Mann: Reiterates commitment to provide congenial atmosphere to traders and industrialists to work in state

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Tuesday announced to embark a major scheme for giving facelift to all the bus stands and grain markets within the cities.
Addressing the gathering during Sarkar Vyapaar Milni here today, the Chief Minister said that all the grain markets are in the heart of cities now so in coming days an extensive drive will be started to develop bus stands and grain markets on ultra modren lines. He said that it will facilitate the people and further propel the progress of state adding that it is his dream to make sure that every section of the society makes progress in varied fields. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that earlier Chief Ministers never dared to hold such events because they were reluctant to face the people due to their misdeeds.
The Chief Minister said the traders don’t want anything else except a congenial atmosphere to work and excel in field adding that the state government is committed for it. He said that the state government has found a noble way for it by starting the Sarkaar Tuhade Dwaar scheme. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that he had promised that the government will not run from Chandigarh but from villages due to which this Scheme has been launched.
The Chief Minister said that the people of state had bestowed a huge responsibility on him by giving a whopping mandate to his government due to which he is duty bound to serve the masses. He said that people now have faith in working of the state government due to which the NRIs are now becoming active partners in the development of Punjab. Bhagwant Singh Mann said now the NRIs are donating their properties and houses to the state government for setting up Aam Aadmi clinics in the state.
The Chief Minister said that the youth who were compelled by the system of previous governments to migrate abroad are now returning back which is a positive trend of reverse migration in the state. He said that his government had provided government jobs to more than 43,000 youths in just two years, marking a record in Punjab’s history. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that among those who secured these government jobs, some are youngsters returned from abroad.
The Chief Minister said that the state has created history by purchasing Goindwal power plant owned by a private company GVK Power. He said that for the first time this reverse trend has started that the government has purchased any private power plant whereas in the past the state governments used to sell their assets to the favorite individuals at ‘throw away’ prices. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that as coal from Pachwara coal mine can be used only for government power plants so with purchase of this power plant this coal can be aptly utilized for producing power to provide it to every sector of the state.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is making concerted efforts for the welfare of the youth of the state. He said that the focus of his government is to ensure that youth become job givers instead of job seekers. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this is the need of hour to carve out a progressive and prosperous Punjab.
The Chief Minister said that the business blaster scheme started at the school level in a right step in this direction. He said that 829 Aam Aadmi Clinics are now operational in the state adding that to impart quality education to students Schools of Eminence have been set up in the state. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that state is witnessing unprecedented development in every sphere adding that no stone will be left unturned for it.
The Chief Minister said that the Union government has withheld the funds of RDf and National Health Mission just to harass the state this despite of the fact that Punjabis had made enormous sacrifices in national freedom struggle. He said that these Rs 8000 crore stalled by the centre could have given impetus to the development of the state adding to get these funds it is imperative that AAP gets all the 13 Lok seats including ensuing Lok Sabha elections. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this will empower him to work more forcefully for the progress of the state and prosperity of its people.
The Chief Minister said that the traditional parties are envy of him because he hails from a common family. Bhagwant Mann said that these leaders who believed that they have divine right to rule the state due to which they are not able to digest that a common man is running the state efficiently. He said that these leaders have befooled the people since long but now people are not getting swayed by their misleading propaganda.
The Chief Minister quipped that a former Finance Minister of state chanted rhetoric of ‘empty state exchequer’ for nine long years thereby jeopardising development of the state. However, he said that after assuming charge of the state government every single penny is being spent on development of state and welfare of its people. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that his government has checked the pilferage in the state exchequer to ensure that every single penny is spent judiciously for well being of people
