Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann on Sunday said the state is undergoing record-breaking growth, with major development projects underway across all sectors to accelerate Punjab’s progress.
Reviewing ongoing works in the Dirbha assembly segment, he noted that these projects are advancing rapidly and will soon be completed. Designed to serve public interest and boost overall development, they are fully funded, and more initiatives will be rolled out in the coming days.
Highlighting achievements in agriculture, CM Bhagwant Mann recalled his promise to enable paddy transplantation without tubewell use, adding that canal water now reaches even the remotest tail-end villages. Since taking office, his government has revived 15,947 water channels and safeguarded Punjab’s water from diversion to other states.
He also spoke about the landmark Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna — the first scheme in India to provide cashless medical treatment of up to ₹10 lakh for every resident family. Calling it a historic step toward universal healthcare, CM Bhagwant Mann said it will ease financial strain while ensuring quality treatment.
Reaffirming his commitment to farmers, CM Bhagwant said the sector remains his top priority, with uninterrupted electricity and canal water now available. Farmers’ satisfaction and renewed optimism, he added, bring him immense pride.
Expressing his personal bond with the rural population, CM Bhagwant Mann said he treasures time spent with villagers and strives tirelessly for their welfare. On the occasion, he presented a cheque of ₹1.76 crore to the village panchayat to further boost local development.
