CM Bhajan Lal Sharma : Instructions given for supervision at sub-division level and monitoring at district level
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that AgriStack is an ambitious initiative towards providing farmer-centric solutions, which will usher in a digital revolution in the agriculture sector. Under this, a unique Farmer ID will be provided to every farmer by creating a comprehensive database of farmers’ information. This will bring ease and transparency in providing the benefits of the welfare schemes of the central and state governments to the farmers.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma was addressing a review meeting on the AgriStack scheme and Farmer Registry roll-out at the Chief Minister’s Office on Thursday. He directed the officers to work on mission mode on the AgriStack project in the state and encourage the farmers to join it.
Camps to be held for farmers
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that on the first anniversary of the state government, this mission was implemented as a pilot project from Sikar district in December. It will be launched across the country in February. Under this, camps will be held for Farmer Registry at Gram Panchayat level in a phased manner. The Chief Minister directed to complete the preparations for these camps and make arrangements for supervision at the subdivision level and monitoring at the district level. He said that it should be ensured that the general public does not face any kind of problem in the camps. Also, the related services of other departments should also be included in these camps.
Farmers should be aware of this.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that farmers are an important link in this mission. They should be made more aware of this mission so that they are associated with it and no annadata is deprived of the benefits of the government’s farmer welfare schemes. Therefore, this important initiative taken in the interest of farmers should also be widely publicized on social media etc.
AgriStack: Golden Record of Farmers
AgriStack is a central government project to provide digital public infrastructure related to agriculture. Under this, a unique ID will be provided to every farmer by creating a database of crop survey, farmer registry and geo-referenced map in digital form. Under this, from preparing data at the national level to automation in PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, farmers will be able to access other welfare schemes and services including Kisan Credit Card Scheme.
