CM Bhajan Lal Sharma conducted an intensive inspection of various areas of Jaipur city for about two and a half hours on Wednesday evening to take stock of the situation arising out of rains. He directed the officials to stop at B-2 Bypass Road, Sanganer, Sumer Nagar, Surajmal Circle, Muhana Mandi, Chauradia Petrol Pump and resolve the problems related to waterlogging, damaged roads, potholes and drainage system.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma inspected the Dravyavati river near B-II bypass road and directed for pruning of thick trees and repair of ferro cover of drains. After this, he interacted with the people and children of Kachhi Basti and directed the officials to provide drainage in the low-lying areas and food and drinking water to the residents in case of emergency.
The Chief Minister met the people at the camp office in Sanganer and enquired about the waterlogged areas of the city. After this, CM Bhajan Lal Sharma reached the Muhana Mandi intersection and took stock and instructed the officials regarding the construction of the circle at the intersection. He directed that the damaged roads at Maharaja Surajmal Circle and Kesar Nagar intersection should be repaired at the earliest.
People should not face any problem, the administration should be alert at all times, “the Chief Minister said.
Talking to the media, CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that our government is ensuring that the people do not face any kind of problem in the situation arising out of the rains. The authorities have been instructed in this regard. He said that instructions have also been given to make arrangements for food, drinking water and accommodation for the people in the affected areas across the state. He appealed to the people of the state to avoid going to waterlogged areas.
During the inspection,CM Bhajan Lal Sharma directed the officers to expedite the development works in Sanganer area. He stopped at Chauradia Petrol Pump and enquired about the progress of the elevated road from Sanganer Police Station to Chauradia Petrol Pump and Malpura Gate and directed the concerned officials to expedite the construction work. During this, the Chief Minister also took feedback from the public.
Senior officials of Jaipur Development Authority, Jaipur Municipal Corporation Greater, Energy, Public Works, Public Health Engineering Department were present on the occasion.
