CM Bhajan emphasized that officials should regularly monitor the implementation of budget announcements and coordinate with concerned departments to expedite processes like land allocation, DPR preparation, and tendering, ensuring that developmental benefits reach people on time.
Addressing a review meeting of the Revenue and Colonization Department at the Chief Minister’s Office on Tuesday, Mr. Sharma highlighted that the Revenue Department is bringing innovations through technology to provide better services to farmers. In this direction, an Agristech mobile app has been developed to enable farmers to conduct their own crop surveys. He instructed officials to widely publicize the app so that maximum farmers can benefit from it.
‘Gaon Chalo Abhiyan’ for Easy Access to Services
The Chief Minister announced that starting September 18, the government will launch the ‘Gaon Chalo Abhiyan’ three days a week across the state to ensure easy access to government services in villages. He directed officials to resolve pending cases related to boundary marking, partition, and mutation under this campaign, making sure that no villager is deprived of its benefits.
Repair Old Buildings, Ensure Quality
CM Bhajan Sharma urged officials to prioritize building projects announced in the past two budgets and complete them within deadlines while ensuring quality through regular monitoring. He also directed that old government buildings should be renovated or repaired as required for better utilization of resources.
Plans for Pending Land Allocation Cases
He further instructed officials to devise a plan for disposing of pending applications related to general land allotment in Jaisalmer district, and to conduct a 15-day campaign to clear backlogs. He also suggested simplifying rules through necessary amendments to improve departmental efficiency.
Officials informed the CM that under the Farmer Registry Scheme, the mapping of farmers’ Aadhaar numbers with revenue records has begun in all districts, with 87% of farmer IDs already generated. They also reported that geo-referenced sheets of 48,463 villages have been uploaded on the Bhunaksha Portal, and 4.49 crore Unique Land Parcel Identification Numbers (ULPINs) have been issued.
The meeting also discussed matters like modernization of revenue courts, reorganization of revenue units, retainer fees for full-time government advocates, changes in land allotment rates in colonization areas, and provisions under Gram Daan and Bhudan Acts.
Revenue Minister Hemant Meena, Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant, and senior officials of the concerned departments were present in the meeting.
