The State Government under the leadership of CM Bhajan Lal Sharma is fully committed to provide transparent and corruption free governance. The aim of the government is that the benefits of development schemes and public welfare programs reach the eligible people faster, and continuous efforts are being made in this direction. In this sequence, on the directions of the Chief Minister, a new system has now been implemented in the state to increase the speed of development works and simplify the process.
Now the executive department will not be required to send the file to the finance department for administrative and financial approval after the tender process. Due to this system implemented by the previous government, there was unnecessary delay in the start of the projects. On the initiative of CM Bhajan Lal Sharma a new, more effective system has been implemented by removing this old system.
In the earlier system, when the executive department used to send the proposal for approval of the work to the finance department, the finance department used to give only in-principle approval earlier. Thereafter, the file had to be re-sent for the actual administrative and financial approval, leading to an additional delay of 15 to 30 days. Due to this, not only the cost used to increase, but the general public could not get the benefit on time.
As per the directions of CM Bhajan Lal Sharma this process has now been simplified. Now, as soon as the Finance Department approves the work proposal, based on that, the Executive Department can issue the work order directly after the tender process. Also, the departments will be able to upload the sanctioned amount on the portal on their own, eliminating the need to resend the proposal to the finance department.
This new system will speed up development works, save time, and the government’s resolve that the works are completed on time and with high quality will now be able to get off the ground effectively.
