CM Bhajan Lal Sharma : Union Tourism and Culture Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, several schemes are being run across the country to improve the lives of the poor. These schemes have provided basic amenities like housing, electricity, toilets, gas connections and banking to the deprived sections, thereby improving their quality of life. According to the International Labour Organisation (ILO) data, more than 94 crore Indians are taking benefit of some or the other social security scheme.
He was speaking at a public meeting organised as part of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Antyodaya Sambal Pakhwada at Sointara village in Shergarh assembly constituency of Jodhpur district. He said that after 2014, India’s international reputation has grown tremendously and the country has adopted a tough stance against terrorism.
The double engine government has made concerted efforts for water
Shekhawat said that to overcome the water crisis in Rajasthan, the double engine government of the Centre and the state has taken up several projects, prominent among them being the Ram Jal Setu link and the Yamuna Water Agreement for the Shekhawati region. He also said that during the previous government, the budget of Jal Jeevan Mission was mired in corruption.
Will make Rajasthan a model of inclusive development: Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma said that his government is working on the principles of Antyodaya and making the state a role model of inclusive development. Through the camps, the administration is directly reaching the doorsteps of the public and efforts are being made to connect the last person with the schemes. He said his government aims to provide day-time electricity to farmers by 2027 and four lakh government jobs to the youth in five years.
Special budget for villages, relief to poor
Under the “Garibi Mukt Gaon Yojana,” a provision of Rs 300 crore has been made to make 5,000 villages poverty-free in the first phase. In the camps, health facilities are being provided through resolution of land disputes, distribution of ownership cards, plant and soil cards to farmers, animal testing and vaccination, and Ayushman card.
One-and-a-half years versus five years of the previous government, CM Bhajan Lal Sharma claimed that the one-and-a-half-year tenure of his government has overshadowed the five years of the previous government. Comparing various sectors, he pointed out that his government has achieved much more than the previous government in works like road construction, power generation, college building, tablet-cycle distribution, upgradation of veterinary hospitals, and setting up of new revenue villages in record time.
The government has made a provision of Rs 3,541 crore for the development of Jodhpur district. Shergarh constituency has been gifted with health centres, power sub-stations, colleges, sports stadium and hostels. The Chief Minister launched a tree plantation drive, offered prayers at temples and reached the camp site riding a camel.
Benefits of schemes in the camps The Chief Minister gave away cheques, certificates, tricycles, tablets and bicycles under government schemes to various beneficiaries in the camp. Bravehearts were also felicitated on the occasion. Ministers, MPs, MLAs and officials participated in the programme.
