CM Bhajan Lal Sharma has directed to ensure timely preparations for successful celebration of Pravasi Rajasthani Divas (10th December).
CM Bhajan Lal Sharm gave a detailed review of the National Pravasi Rajasthani Meet and International Pravasi Rajasthani Meet to be held before the main event and directed to ensure maximum participation of Rajasthanis in these events.
Shri Sharma was chairing a review meeting on the Pravasi Rajasthani Divas at the Chief Minister’s Office on Tuesday. The Chief Minister said that sessions on important sectors like education, tourism, industry, health and water would be held during the one-day Pravasi Rajasthani Divas to be held on December 10. He directed that during the session, a special framework should be made to connect the expatriate Rajasthanis and experts who have done remarkable work in these areas.
The Chief Minister said that nodal officers should also be appointed for the purpose of getting massive investment in various sectors involved in the sessions. He also directed the screening of a short film on Panchgaurav during the event so that the diaspora Rajasthani feel connected to the soil of their district. Shri Sharma also gave special instructions to establish close contact with the officers of Rajasthan origin posted in other states. The Chief Minister said that the diaspora Rajasthanis who have contributed and achieved in various fields including social, economic, industrial will also be felicitated during this period.
Shri Sharma said that before the Pravasi Rajasthani Day, national and international Pravasi Rajasthani Meets will be organized. He discussed in detail about the proposed Hyderabad, Surat and Kolkata National Pravasi Rajasthani Meets in September and October and International Pravasi Rajasthani Meets in November and directed the officials to ensure their preparations in a time bound manner.
It may be recalled that on the directions of the Chief Minister Shri Sharma, the Pravasi Rajasthani Day is being celebrated on 10th December.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Sudhanshu Pant and other senior officials.
