CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that all necessary provisions have been made in the Budget 2025-26 to give effective impetus to the vision of developed Rajasthan. Our budget includes the welfare of the 8 crore people of the state and the all-round development of all the 200 Vidhan Sabhas, which will make the state a 350 billion dollar economy by 2030. He directed the officers that all the departments should work with mutual coordination to complete the budgetary provisions in a time bound manner.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma was addressing the review meeting on the implementation of Budget Announcements for 2025-26 to be implemented in a phased and integrated manner at the Chief Minister’s residence on Tuesday. In the meeting, he directed the officials to ensure that all the announcements are completed on time so that the works whose foundation stone is being laid during the tenure of our government are also inaugurated during our tenure. He said that all the departments should make an action plan and fix a time-frame for every step of the work to be done in a phased manner and work accordingly. Strict action should be taken against the erring officials at any level. Shri Sharma said that the State Government is regularly monitoring the progress of budgetary announcements to ensure that the benefits of these public welfare schemes reach the last mile.
Infrastructure should be strengthened, construction work should be done with transparency –
Giving special instructions for transparency and accountability in construction works, the Chief Minister said that strong infrastructure is the mainstay of the state’s economy. “There will be no compromise on quality at any level. Physical verification of road construction works should be made mandatory. At the same time, the work of laying electricity, water, sewer lines and building roads should be done in coordination with the concerned departments so that the general public does not face any problem in commuting. Shri Sharma also directed for early completion of land allotment for new GSS construction works.
The villages of Rajasthan will be poverty-free.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that under the able guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the State Government is working with commitment for the upliftment of poor, youth, farmers and women. To realise the vision of a poverty-free Rajasthan, we have launched Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Garibi Mukt Gaon Yojana, under which effective steps are being taken to bring BPL families of 5,000 villages above the poverty line in the first phase. He directed that these families should be freed from poverty by benefiting from the schemes of the Centre and the State. He directed youth to get job-oriented skill training and women to be associated with Rajivika.
Planned development of cities
The Chief Minister said that on the lines of the Smart City scheme of the Central Government, 16 cities of the state have been announced in the budget to be developed as clean and green cities. Works like cleanliness, greenery, footpath construction, beautification should be done in these cities in a planned manner and they should be developed as models. He said that waste processing plants and FSTPs should also be set up in the newly formed 65 urban bodies soon.
Expansion of air transport service will give a boost to tourism
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that Rajasthan has immense potential for tourism. There are world famous religious and historical places in our state. To promote tourism here, it is necessary to strengthen air transport. For this, heliports should be developed across the state and helicopter service should be started for tourism and religious places. This will also increase the income of the tourists.
Accelerated construction of 100 anicuts-
The Chief Minister said that 100 anicuts would be constructed in the state at a cost of Rs 500 crore to promote water conservation. He instructed the officials to expedite the work. He said that phase-wise DPRs of the budgetary projects for which Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) have not been prepared should be prepared at the earliest so that the work could be started soon and completed in a time bound manner.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma also directed for strengthening of the IT system in order to increase the work readiness and efficiency of the departments like Mining, Police, Medical etc. Reviewing the budget announcement of upgradation of 100 schools related to the school education department, he said that smart classrooms should be developed in the schools so that the students can also get the facility of virtual education.
The Chief Minister said that Shree Anna is a better option in terms of nutritional potential. He gave instructions regarding effective marketing and promotion of Shree Anna. This will also strengthen the economic condition of our farmers.
