CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that the State Government is working with determination to create a total of 10 lakh employment opportunities, including 6 lakh in the private sector and 4 lakh in the government sector, in five years. The third Chief Minister’s Employment Festival to be held in the month of December will play an important role in fulfilling the dream of employment of the youth and will prove to be an important step towards’ Suraj Sankalp ‘.
Sharma was chairing a review meeting regarding the preparations for the upcoming Chief Minister’s Employment Festival at the Chief Minister’s Office on Monday. He said that taking inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mukhyamantri Rozgar Utsav is being organized regularly in the state. In the last two job fests, appointment letters have also been given to 28,200 youth. Now thousands of youth will also be given appointments in the third Chief Minister Employment Festival proposed in the month of December. Shri Sharma said that the State Government is also ensuring conduct of transparent and time bound recruitment examinations to fulfill the promise of Sankalp Patra to provide employment to the youth.
The Chief Minister also directed the Local Bodies Department to expedite the application process for the recruitment of sanitation workers and edit it with complete transparency. He said the state government would soon start the recruitment process for 48,593 class IV and equivalent posts and 3,170 drivers.
Vacancies to be filled by March 2025
He directed the various departments to send the requests regarding the recruitments as early as March 2025 so that more and more posts are filled up and more and more employment opportunities are provided to the youth. In case of negligence in this work, the responsibility will be fixed on the officer of the concerned department.
Reviewing the announcements of the revised budget 2024-25, Shri Sharma said that the Collectors should discuss with the public representatives and ensure the allotment of land for the pending development works at the district level. He also directed the higher officials of various departments for continuous monitoring of important projects and programmes.
