CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that the State Government is committed to fulfill the aspirations of 8 crore people of the State. The welfare of the people is at the heart of the budget brought by our government, so the concerned departments should not delay the implementation of the budget announcements at any level. He said that only by successfully implementing the budget announcements, we will be able to realize the resolve of our pioneer Rajasthan and achieve the goal of developed Rajasthan 2047.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma was reviewing the progress of Budget announcements for the financial year 2024-25 of various departments at the Chief Minister’s residence on Tuesday. He said that the budget announcements should be implemented with full transparency on the ground. Strict action should be taken against the concerned officials for their negligence in the implementation of development works and schemes. The Chief Minister also directed to ensure time-bound land allotment for development works.
Drinking water supply is a top priority.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that ensuring adequate drinking water supply to the common man and water for irrigation to the farmers is the topmost priority of the State Government. He directed the officials of Public Health Engineering Department that various works including Jal Jeevan Mission and AMRUT 2.0 should not be delayed. Regular monitoring and review of day to day progress of works. He reviewed the progress of major drinking water and irrigation projects and gave necessary directions.
Establish better co-ordination in the laying of pipelines.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma also directed the concerned departments to establish better coordination among themselves in the work of laying drinking water pipelines and sewer lines, so that the roads are not damaged repeatedly and there is no loss of revenue. He directed that such damaged roads should be repaired at the earliest and all the District Collectors should also conduct daily monitoring in this regard. The Chief Minister said that ‘Call Before You Dig’ app has been launched by the Central Government, through which the concerned departments and agencies work in coordination and there is minimum damage to the roads. Roads are also being repaired. He directed to make maximum use of this app.
Rajasthan Petro Zone to be equipped with modern facilities
He said that setting up of Rajasthan Petro Zone for downstream products based industries coming out of Pachpadra Refinery (Balotra) should be expedited. It is developing as a modern industrial area, so necessary facilities including world-class road system should be developed. He also provided necessary guidelines regarding the proposed Rajasthan Mandapam in Jaipur.
For the convenience of general consumers, the amount of electricity-related works should be fixed –
Reviewing the pending announcements of the Energy Department,CM Bhajan Lal Sharma gave instructions to fix the rates of electricity related works for the convenience of common consumers. He also directed to expedite the proposed pump storage projects in the state to increase the power generation capacity. At the same time, he said that the Energy Department should also release an incentive package for a model solar village proposed in each district.
State Government committed to quality health services-
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that the state government is developing an effective medical system from cities to remote villages to provide quality health services to the people of the state. He directed the Medical and Health Department to complete the pending budget announcements without delay.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma reviewed the pending announcements of various departments including Urban Development, Autonomous Governance, Water Resources, Irrigated Area Development, Sports and Youth Affairs, Tourism and Finance departments and directed them to bring the required speed and work expeditiously.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Principal Secretaries, Secretaries and Secretaries of concerned departments.
