CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that Anganwadi Centres are centres of culture in our society. A mother is a child’s first teacher. The other guru is Anganwadi’s mother and sister. In this role, she is also working to strengthen and make the youth healthy along with nutrition delivery. “If women are empowered, the country and the state will be empowered. Our government is committed to make the state safe, developed and a role model of women empowerment while giving a safe environment to women. On the occasion, the Chief Minister also administered the pledge of nutrition to Anganwadi sisters for a well-nourished Rajasthan.
CM Bhajan Sharma was addressing the Raksha Bandhan – Anganwadi Behen Samman with the Chief Minister at Birla Auditorium on Tuesday. He said that Anganwadi sisters are making significant contribution in improving the lives of women and children of the state, ensuring their health and nutrition and providing quality services. Wishing all the sisters in advance on Raksha Bandhan, he said that women are working well as sisters, wives, mothers, guardians, realizing the spirit of ‘Nari Tu Narayani’. In rural and urban settings, women lead the family.

CM Bhajan also tied Rakhi to Anganwadi sisters, including Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari and Minister of State for Women and Child Development Manju Baghmar. The women tied protective threads with tilak and also presented coconuts to Shri Sharma. Shri Sharma also transferred an amount of Rs. 501-501 through DBT to 1 lakh 21 thousand Anganwadi sisters of the state as a gift of Rakhi. Sweets and prizes were also distributed to the students. During this, Shri Sharma said that this Rakhi tied on my wrist by sisters is my protective shield. I promise safety and respect to my sisters. During the program, the Chief Minister announced two days free travel in roadways buses for the sisters of the state on the occasion of Rakhi.
Service, Safety and Empowerment for a Double Engine Government First
CM Bhajan said that under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the double engine government of the state is working with the vision of service, security and empowerment. He said that the government has increased the honorarium of Anganwadi workers, Anganwadi helpers and helpers by 10-10 percent in 2024 and 2025. Our government has taken decisions like opening one thousand new Anganwadi centres in the state, developing 2,365 model Anganwadi centres, increasing the basic facilities at Anganwadi centres, sanctioning Rs 50 crore for the repair of the centres. He said that about 40 lakh children and women of the state are being provided micronutrient fortified supplementary nutrition through Anganwadi centers. Also, Mukhyamantri Amrit Aahar Yojana has been implemented to provide hot sweet milk to the children of 3 to 6 years of age coming to the Anganwadi Center 5 days a week.

CM Bhajan Sharma said that a new chapter of women empowerment is being written under the able leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. India is currently one of the few countries in the world to have a woman head of state. Also, the Nari Shakti Vandana Act has ensured reservation for women in Parliament and Assemblies. He said that schemes like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojana, Lakhpati Didi are empowering women. 3 crore women associated with self-help groups across the country have become Lakhpati Didi under this scheme. Rajasthan is also playing an important role in the Prime Minister’s efforts for women empowerment.
9 lakh 25 thousand Lakhpati Didi made in the state –
CM Bhajan said that continuous decisions have been taken for women empowerment in the state. Under the Lakhpati Didi scheme in the state, 18 lakh 25 thousand women have been trained to become 9 lakh 25 thousand Lakhpati Didi. In the state, women are being encouraged through schemes and innovations like gas cylinder at Rs 450, free sonography under Maa Voucher Scheme, saving bond of Rs 1.5 lakh to 2 lakh 46 thousand girls under Lado Protsahan Yojana, scooty to about 33 thousand girls and distribution of more than 10 and a half lakh bicycles. He said that Kalika Patrolling Unit, three Mahila Battalions, 65 Anti-Romeo Squads, Women Safety and Counselling Centres in Police Stations are being operated giving priority to women safety.
Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari said that the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma is working for the all-round development of women of the state with full sensitivity. He said that the state government is empowering and enriching the lives of mothers and sisters of the state through various schemes so that the dream of developed India-developed Rajasthan comes true.
At the programme, the Chief Minister launched the Balahar Premix Packet containing milk for malnourished children by increasing the quantity of skimmed milk from 15 grams to 25 grams. Anganwadi workers were also felicitated on the occasion.
Minister of State for Women and Child Development Manju Bagmar, Minister of State for Women and Child Development Mahendra Soni and other senior officials were present on the occasion. District level officers of all the departments were present at the programme through video conferencing.
