On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, CM Bhajan Lal Sharma tied the ‘Raksha Sutra “to the bravehearts, social workers, lawyers, doctors, sisters associated with different fields and school and college students at the Chief Minister’s residence on Saturday.
Congratulating the sisters present on Raksha Bandhan, CM Bhajan said that this festival has great significance in our culture. It symbolises the unbreakable bond between a brother and sister. In such festivals, there is a message of harmony and oneness. He said that sisters have an important contribution in carrying forward our tradition and heritage. Sisters play various roles in the family and are responsible for nurturing and nurturing the family. Therefore, sisters have a special place in our culture. Shri Sharma said that I have received the affection and blessings of younger and elder sisters on this auspicious festival of Raksha Bandhan. It’s a safety net for me.
CM Bhajan Sharma said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has taken the country forward through social concerns along with other sectors. He raised public awareness across the country by running campaigns in areas such as cleanliness, sex ratio, environmental protection. The Chief Minister called upon the sisters present to join the social work along with the family responsibilities and play their active role in providing benefits to the deprived brothers and sisters from the public welfare schemes of the central and state governments. This will bring about a change in society.
CM Bhajan said that the country and the state will excel only when the parents are educated and empowered. Stating that the women of our country have created history with their great deeds, he called upon the girl students to work courageously in life and fulfil their dreams.
CM Bhajan interacted with the sisters present at the programme and presented them gifts as a mark of respect. Nari Shakti, who is associated with various fields including medicine, law and order and justice, thanked the Chief Minister for the efforts being made by the state government for women’s safety, respect and empowerment.
