CM Bhajanlal Sharma approves Rs 13 crore development in agricultural markets, ensuring better facilities, fair prices, and reduced transportation costs for farmers.
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has approved development works worth over Rs 13 crore in various agricultural markets across the state. This initiative aims to strengthen farmers economically and provide them with improved facilities and services in mandi areas.
Under the Chief Minister’s approval, the Agricultural Produce Market Committees (APMCs) in Anupgarh (Sri Ganganagar), Pugal Road-Anaj (Bikaner), and Malpura (Tonk) will receive over Rs 13.45 crore for the construction of mandi yards, electrical works, and access roads. These development projects are designed to enhance the infrastructure of the markets, ensuring better trading conditions for farmers.
Additionally, in Sumerpur, the secondary fruit and vegetable mandi has been allocated reserved plots in the first phase, while in Bassi (Jaipur), vacant plots in the secondary mandi yard at Tunga have also been allocated in the first phase. These steps will enable farmers to sell their produce closer to production areas, ensuring fair prices and reducing transportation costs significantly.
The state government’s continuous focus on expanding agricultural services and facilities reflects its commitment to empowering farmers and making the agricultural marketing system more efficient and farmer-friendly. With these infrastructure improvements, farmers will benefit from easier access to mandi services, lower expenses, and enhanced opportunities to maximize their profits.
