CM Bhajanlal Sharma said the state government was committed to promote industrial, tourism and cultural activities to realise the target of taking the state’s economy to USD 350 billion. He said that the Rajasthan Mandapam will provide world class facilities for business and cultural events, which will make the state a major center of large events as well as promote conference tourism.
CM Bhajanlal Sharma on Monday addressed a high-level meeting on the action plan for the proposed Rajasthan Mandapam in Jaipur at the Chief Minister’s residence. He directed that streamlined planning be done for the Rajasthan Mandapam with a holistic approach so that small to large events can be conducted smoothly.
Rajasthan Mandapam to be a symbol of pride
CM Bhajanlal Sharma said that in keeping with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolve of ‘Vikas as well as Virasat’, the Rajasthan Mandapam would be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities along with the cultural heritage of the state. This centre will become a major centre for promoting local art, culture and tourism besides cultural and business events, which will make the state proud. In the meeting, he directed to develop facilities like convention centre, exhibition centre, meeting hall and parking for visitors.
A presentation on the proposed action plan of Rajasthan Mandapam was also made during the meeting. Among others present on the occasion included Additional Chief Secretary Finance Akhil Arora, Additional Chief Secretary (CMO) Shikhar Agarwal, Principal Secretary Industries Ajitabh Sharma, Principal Secretary (CMO) Alok Gupta and senior officials of RIICO.
