CM DHAMI : Devotees coming on winter pilgrimage to Chardham of the state will be given 25 percent discount in fare for staying in GMVN hotels. Chief Minister, work should be done from now on to make a complete plan to organize the upcoming Chardham YatraIn view of Chardham Yatra and Winter Yatra, the registration portal system should be strengthened. To organize the Chardham Yatra, a meeting should be held with the stakeholders and their suggestions should be taken.In view of the facilities provided in the Chardhams, efforts should also be made to increase the carrying capacity of the Dhams. Major areas around Chardhams and their winter migration centers should also be developed. Provide local products of the state as honors and gifts to the visitors.
Taking a meeting at the Secretariat on Tuesday, Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami said that 25 percent discount on fare in GMVN hotels will be provided to the devotees visiting the winter migration places of Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri.He instructed the officials to ensure all necessary arrangements for winter travel destinations. This Yatra should also be widely publicized in different states through various mediums.
CM DHAMI said that winter travel will also prove to be a game changer in boosting the economy of the state. The Chief Minister has also instructed the officials to develop major places around Panch Badri and Panch Kedar as well as winter pilgrimage sitesRegarding the preparations for the upcoming Chardham Yatra, the Chief Minister has given instructions to the concerned District Magistrates about the challenges faced in the Chardham Yatra this time and how they can be resolved appropriately.Send a report on this to the government within a week. The Chief Minister has also given instructions to make well-organized parking around major populated areas and hotels on the Chardham Yatra routes.
CM DHAMI said that Chardham Yatra is a journey related to the honor and respect of the state. It is the collective responsibility of all of us to make the journey convenient and provide all possible facilities to the devotees. The Chief Minister said that the number of devotees in Chardham Yatra is increasing rapidly every year.In view of the infrastructure development facilities provided in the four Dhams, work should be done towards increasing the carrying capacity. Major mythological places around the Chardhams should be developed and they should also be widely publicized. Special attention should be paid to roads, drinking water, sanitation, health facilities and other basic facilities in the Chardham Yatra routes. Work should also be done on an alternative route to visit Yamunotri. The Chief Minister said that a meeting should be held at the government level with the stakeholders for a well-organized Chardham Yatra. Whatever is best for travel management should be done by taking suggestions from stakeholders.
CM DHAMI said that preparations should be started from now for the upcoming Ardh Kumbh to be held in Haridwar. This is a big event, work should be done in every area from now on to make this event grand.The Chief Minister said that work should also be done expeditiously on Ganga Corridor and Sharda Corridor. For the convenience of the visitors to Purnagiri and Kainchi Dham, work should be done towards alternative routes and an effective action plan should be taken to prevent accidents. Preparations should also be started in view of the upcoming Nandadevi Rajjat Yatra. The Chief Minister has given instructions to the Transport Department to make proper transportation arrangements from the state for Prayagraj Kumbh.
