CM Dhami hands over appointment letters to 220 medical officers The Chief Minister gave the appointment letters to the doctors who received the appointment letters along with better treatment, good behavior, service and dedication Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami distributed appointment letters to 220 newly appointed medical officers while participating in the Uttarakhand Medical Health Empowerment Campaign organized by the Health Department at the Mukhya Sevak Sadan. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister congratulated the newly appointed doctors and described this moment as an important milestone in their lives.
“You are not only a doctor but also a health worker. Therefore, all of you have to work with full dedication and service to take the state’s medicine affordable, accessible and to new heights. The Chief Minister said that more than 11 lakh patients of the state have received cashless treatment of more than 21 crore rupees. Specialized medical facilities related to Cardio and Neurology are being provided in Srinagar and Cancer in Haldwani. He said that in case of emergency, health services are also working through Heli from remote areas. This was also seen during the recent Dharali disaster.
The Chief Minister said that medical services in the state have got a new dimension with more free health check-ups, modernization of health centres, appointment of paramedical staff and extension of telemedicine service. “We are trying to set up one medical college in every district. So that people can get quality health services at the local level. The Chief Minister said that today Uttarakhand is setting new records in every field and in a way Uttarakhand is leading the way in realizing the resolve of a developed India. He said that the resolve of a developed India will be realised only when Uttarakhand develops and the society, citizens and every region of Uttarakhand develops. Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that under the guidance of the Chief Minister, the Health Department is constantly setting new benchmarks in terms of appointments. He said that out of 220 doctors, all the remaining doctors except 4 Divyang quota doctors will be deployed in remote areas.
He said that the department is also going to recruit more doctors, nurses and supporting staff soon. The Minister said that from September 17 to October 2, the birthday of Hon’ble Prime Minister Modi, blood donation camps will be organized at 220 places in the state as a major campaign and more than 25 lakh people will be benefitted by holding health camps in every village. Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi said that with more availability of doctors as well as supporting staff in remote areas, more doctors will be motivated to serve in these areas on their own.
He said that even today people give the highest respect to the doctor after God, that is why the doctors have to make efforts to increase the faith of the people.
