CM Dr. Mohan Yadav: Nation First Spirit Will Make India a Global Leader
CM Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that along with purity of body and mind, it is equally important for everyone to stay healthy. The first happiness of human life comes from a disease-free body. Therefore, one should always strive to remain physically fit and avoid all kinds of addiction. CM Dr. Mohan Yadav made this appeal to citizens, especially the youth, while addressing a program on Sunday morning at Atal Path. He flagged off the Namo Yuva Run (marathon) organised under the Government of India’s Fit India Movement and Drug-Free India Campaign, aimed at spreading awareness and fulfilling the collective resolve for a healthy and addiction-free society.
CM Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the ‘Seva Pakhwada’ is being observed across the country from September 17 to October 2, and the Namo Yuva Run inspires us all to dedicate ourselves to the service of the nation. On the occasion, the Chief Minister also unveiled the logo of the Namo Yuva Run. Wearing sports tracksuits, the Chief Minister and other dignitaries themselves joined the marathon, greeted the thousands of participants, and encouraged them.
CM Dr. Mohan Yadav said that today the whole world is looking towards India. We must always keep the spirit of Nation First in our thoughts, values, and actions. He emphasised the need to use indigenous products, asserting that only then can India become a global leader. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India has earned a distinct identity and prestige at the global stage. Madhya Pradesh, too, has carved a new place and recognition by aligning with the Prime Minister’s vision.
Highlighting achievements in sports, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh has made remarkable progress. The state’s performance in national and international competitions is improving day by day. Hockey player Shri Vivek Sagar from Madhya Pradesh was part of the Olympic medal-winning Indian team, which inspires us to excel further in sports. CM Dr. Mohan Yadav appealed the youth to pledge to stay fit, remain free from addiction, and always excel in their duties and responsibilities.

During the program, a video message from Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi was broadcast, highlighting the Fit India Movement and the Drug-Free India Campaign. In his message, the Prime Minister made an emotional appeal to all the youth of the country to stay fit and refrain from drugs. He informed that a national plan has been prepared for a drug-free India, with focus on awareness, treatment, and rehabilitation of addicts. He said that the Narcotics Control Bureau, Anti-Narcotics Task Force, and various departments of the Central and State Governments are working together towards building a drug-free India. Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah and Union Sports Minister Shri Mansukh Mandaviya also appealed to the youth through the video message to exercise regularly and stay away from drugs.
The Namo Yuva Run marathon witnessed the presence of Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Vishwas Kailash Sarang, Minister of State for OBC & Minority Welfare (Independent Charge) Smt. Krishna Gaur, Bhopal MP Shri Alok Sharma, MLA & State BJP President Shri Hemant Khandelwal, MLAs Shri Bhagwandas Sabnani, Shri Rameshwar Sharma, Mayor Smt. Malti Rai, Shri Hitanand Sharma, Shri Vaibhav Panwar, Shri Ravindra Yati, Shri Ranjit Chauhan, Shri Mahendra Yadav, along with other public representatives and a large number of youth.
