Indore Road Accident Extremely Sad, Strong Arrangements To Prevent Recurrence: Dr. Mohan Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the road accident that occurred on Monday evening in Indore is extremely sad. The state government has taken the incident very seriously. Strict action has been taken against responsible officials. Complete arrangements are being made to ensure that such an incident does not recur. The incident is being investigated by the Additional Chief Secretary Home, Shri Sheo Shekar Shukla and further action will be taken based on the findings. Expressing condolences to families of the deceased, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav said that each family of the deceased will receive Rs. four lakh in financial assistance. Injured persons will receive Rs. one lakh each. The state government will bear the full cost of treatment for the injured. Those involved in rescue efforts during the incident will be honoured.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited various hospitals in Indore on Tuesday to meet the injured and later held a joint meeting at the Collector’s office with district administration, police, department officials, and representatives. He said that the incident is disturbing and deeply saddening. He personally felt distressed and remained restless throughout the night. Cancelling all other programs, he went directly to Indore to meet the injured, inquiring about their health and reviewing treatment facilities with doctors. He directed that the injured receive the best possible care, and no compromise would be made in their treatment. He emphasised that the government is taking the incident very seriously and that all necessary arrangements are being made to prevent recurrence. Additional Chief Secretary Shri Shukla was instructed to conduct an inquiry and submit a detailed report. He was also asked to include recommendations on measures such as drone surveillance, controlling uncontrolled vehicles, traffic management and assessing possibilities for elevated bridges and other constructions. The Chief Minister also directed a joint meeting with representatives, district administration, police, and municipal authorities for further suggestions.
Financial Assistance for Families of Deceased and Injured- Mohan Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said the incident is tragic. He stated that families of the deceased will receive Rs. four lakh each and injured persons Rs. one lakh each. The state government will bear the full cost of medical treatment for the injured.
Strict Action Against Responsible Officials
Taking the incident very seriously, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav ordered strict action against responsible officials. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Shri Arvind Tiwari was removed and attached to Police Headquarters Bhopal. Eight police officers and staff identified as primarily responsible were suspended. These include Shri Sudesh Singh (Assistant Police Commissioner), Shri Prem Singh (In-charge ASI Bijasan), Shri Chandresh Maravi (In-charge Subedar Super Corridor Chowraha), Shri Deepak Yadav (Inspector Super Corridor to Aerodrome), and four constables on duty.
Those Who Assisted, Will Be Honoured
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that constable Shri Pankaj Yadav and auto-rickshaw driver Shri Anil, son of Lal Singh Kothari, along with others who promptly transported victims to hospitals, will be honoured. He instructed Additional Chief Secretary Home to submit a detailed report on the incident.
