CM Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Raksha Bandhan is not just a festival, but a symbol of the eternal bond between brother and sister in Indian culture, which strengthens social unity and family values. Raksha Bandhan is not only a celebration of Brother-Sister love, but also conveys the message of women’s dignity and social security. The Chief Minister said that a unique feature of Indian culture is that every relationship is defined and revered. Referring to the Raksha Bandhan story of Draupadi and Lord Krishna, he said it symbolizes the power of the Brother-Sister bond, where Lord Krishna fulfilled the pledge to protect Draupadi for life. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Madhya Pradesh government is continuously working for the welfare and empowerment of sisters.
On Thursday, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav transferred ₹1859 crore into the accounts of 1 crore 26 lakh 89 thousand Ladli Behna of the state at the state-level event of the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana held in Narsinghgarh, Rajgarh district. Additionally, under the Ujjwala Yojana, assistance amounting to ₹43.90 crore was transferred with a single click to more than 28 lakh sisters. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also distributed benefits under various schemes. The program was inaugurated by lighting a lamp and performing Kanya Pujan.
CM Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Indian family tradition has always valued all relationships for thousands of years. Organizing the marriage of a niece is considered even more honorable than arranging a daughter’s marriage. In Indian culture, nieces and nephews are considered more valuable than one’s own children. The blessings and Rakhi from sisters bring strength. Brothers have always protected their sisters in Indian tradition—just as Lord Krishna protected Draupadi during the Mahabharata era. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was presented a large Rakhi and several sisters tied Rakhi on his wrist.
CM Dr. Mohan Yadav said that under the strong leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, terrorist incidents have ceased in the country. Through Operation Sindoor, the enemy has been eliminated. A brother protects the dignity of his sister’s sindoor without worrying about his life. Terrorists who destroyed the marital bliss of sisters have been taught a lesson. This time, August 15 will be known as Operation Sindoor. When the country is safe, the Brother-Sister bond is safe. In over 200 countries around the world, no country regards itself as a mother like India. We proudly say Bharat Mata ki Jai because we see our country as a mother.
CM Dr. Mohan Yadav said the amount given to Ladli Behna has been increased from ₹1000 to ₹1250. It will be further increased to ₹3000. So far, over ₹41,000 crore has been distributed to Ladli Behna. There are 1 crore 27 lakh Ladli Behna in the state. During inspection of flood disaster in Guna-Shivpuri, even amidst their pain, sisters stood with plates in hand to welcome him. Today in Narsinghgarh, too, the affection of sisters was seen in full expression.
CM Dr. Mohan Yadav said that in August, Ladli Behna are being sent ₹1500 including ₹250 as a Rakhi gift. After Diwali, every month ₹1500 will be provided to Ladli Behna. In the next three years, by 2028, ₹3000 will be credited to Ladli Behna’s accounts. Due to Prime Minister Shri Modi’s vision, many women from self-help groups have become Lakhpati. The state government will give ₹6000 to sisters working in employment-based industries. Brothers will also be provided ₹5000 in aid. Hostels are being built at workplaces for sisters. Under the cow rearing scheme, 35% subsidy is being given to sisters. The state government is committed to increasing milk production in the state.
Chief Minister’s Announcements
CM Dr. Mohan Yadav announced the restoration of Baijnath Dham in Narsinghgarh. Four grand entrances will be constructed in the temple premises. He announced the opening of a government college in Khurawar for improved higher education facilities for students. To increase irrigation area, the Nevaj River will be linked to the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal (PKC) project. In the near future, Narsinghgarh and Biaora in Rajgarh district will also become part of the metropolitan city area.

CM Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the special event ‘Aakanksha Haat’ organized under NITI Aayog’s “Sampurnata Abhiyan” at the program venue. This event will run from August 7 to August 10 and will provide a new platform to showcase local talents and products of the district. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav visited the exhibition and appreciated the handicrafts, food products, and other items made by self-help groups. He said that such events not only strengthen the “Vocal for Local” campaign but also help in strengthening the rural economy. The exhibition featured attractive displays from women’s self-help groups, rural producers, traditional artisans, and various departments. The objective of this initiative is to make women self-reliant, promote rural entrepreneurship, and connect local products with the market.
