CM Dr. Mohan Yadav proposes Shramdaan to revitalize the city’s Bhanwarasala Pond.

CM Dr. Mohan Yadav, the chief minister, asked the populace to support water conservation and fight waste. Concerning the diminishing groundwater levels, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Yadav underlined the need to grow trees gradually.The State Government announced the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan in Response to Urgent Needs, Ensuring Sustained Efforts for Water Conservation, calling for a Collective Action to Replenish Resources.
Dr. Yadav was speaking about the Shramdaan initiative, which was started to improve the water capacity, beautify, and make an abandoned pond in Indore’s Bhanwarsala neighborhood useful. The chief minister, Dr. Yadav, presented shramdaan to the public with the ministers of water resources, Shri Tulsiram Silawat, and urban administration and development, Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya. The attendees of the program included MLA Shri Ramesh Mendola, MP Shri Shankar Lalwani, Mayor Shri Pushyamitra Bhargava, District Panchayat President Mrs. Reena Malviya, and Shri Madhu and Golu Vermas, MLA Shri Gaurav Ranadive, MLA Chintu Verma, and MiC member Shri Abhishek Sharma. Special guests included the president of the Madhya Pradesh Scheduled Caste Finance Development Corporation, Shri Sawan Sonkar, as well as other public officials.
Dr. Mohan Yadav, the chief minister, stressed the importance of the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan, saying it will greatly improve the state’s water supplies and be a major step in improving the environment. Even when the Ganga Dashami campaign came to an end, Dr. Yadav emphasized its ongoing significance, stressing the vital role that water plays in maintaining life. He went into further detail on the relationship between life and water, highlighting how existence itself is put in danger by any reduction in water levels. He emphasized the need for water conservation and called for a group effort to recognize its priceless value and reduce waste.
According to Shri Tulsiram Silavat, Minister of Water Resources, the state government is working with newfound vigor to advance the state. In order to enhance the water capacity of all the state’s urban and rural areas, work is being done concurrently to rehabilitate and deepen wells, step wells, ponds, and rivers with an emphasis on water conservation and promotion.
Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava provided a thorough explanation of the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan’s activities being done in Indore. He stated that the public is helping to clean more than 131 wells and step wells in the city of Indore. Rapid cleaning is occurring in the water intake pathways into ponds and rivers. Additionally, 10,000 works are being done to collect rainwater. In order to capture water, one hundred recharge shafts are being built. Deepening of three large ponds is underway.
The Bhanwarsala Pond development project will cost Rs 1.5 crore and fall under the category of water and source conservation. The pond is 2.895 hectares in total size. The pond’s catchment area spans 86.17 hectares. The pond is three meters deep on average. The pond will be de-silted, stone pitched, a pathway built, trees planted, and a garden built in the remaining open space.
A pledge to preserve water was given to the populace by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav as part of the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan. At the pond, he offered Jaldaan from different rivers. He had previously prayed to a Jal Kalash that held water from many rivers.
