CM Dr. Yadav Honored Talents on Gwalior Gaurav Diwas
CM Dr. Yadav said that former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna, Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, had a grand personality. He adopted a holistic approach to development. Through the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, paved roads were constructed in every village. Today, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has laid the foundation stone for the country’s first river-linking project on the soil of Madhya Pradesh, fulfilling Late Vajpayee’s dream. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the ‘Gwalior Gaurav Diwas’ ceremony held in Gwalior on Wednesday. CM Dr. Yadav said that the memories of Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee are not limited to Gwalior alone. Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee received his early school education in Badnagar. Apart from the Atal Memorial, a committee will be formed to preserve the memories associated with Late Vajpayee at locations connected to his life across the state.
A Skilled Leader Who Found Solutions
CM Dr. Yadav said that Late Vajpayee had amazed everyone with his personality as a people’s representative even in his youth. He was a master of words and a great promoter of the Hindi language. He also gave the slogan “Jai Vigyan”. In the field of education, he inspired children through the “School Chalein Hum” campaign. He had the ability to find solutions amidst challenges, which is the mark of a skilled leader.
Late Vajpayee Possessed Extraordinary Talent, performde various roles
CM Dr. Yadav said that it was a testament to Late Vajpayee’s extraordinary talent that even the country’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, entrusted him with responsibilities by including him in delegations visiting other nations. Former Prime Minister Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee chose the path of service by associating with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. He played multiple roles, including that of a poet, editor, and social worker.
CM Dr. Yadav highlighted that Late Vajpayee boosted the nation’s morale and showcased its strength through nuclear tests. He brought patriotic scientists like Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam into significant roles. His decisions embodied his famous poem, “Patthar Ki Chaati Mein Ug Aaya Navankur…”
CM Dr. Yadav further said that the River-Linking Project was originally envisioned by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the Ken-Betwa Project, which will transform the Bundelkhand region, and today, its foundation stone was laid in Khajuraho. The availability of water transforms human life. The obstacles to the project have been resolved. Similarly, the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal River Linking Project will accelerate the pace of development in the Chambal and Malwa regions.
Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Shri Narendra Singh Tomar said that Gwalior Gaurav Diwas is dedicated to Late Vajpayee Ji. The dignitaries being honored are truly fortunate. The sacred land of Gwalior is a land of penance. It is the birthplace of Tansen. Additionally, Gwalior holds great significance in the life journey of Late Vajpayee. He brought immense pride to both the nation and Gwalior. He always upheld the prestige of Gwalior. He belonged to Gwalior and will always remain so. He was a very humble person, yet his stature was as lofty as the Himalayas. No comparison can be made to him; he was truly remarkable. He was not great because he became Prime Minister, but he became Prime Minister because he was already great. He was a visionary leader. During his tenure, he connected numerous villages with roads, and the foundation for building highways was laid during his governance.
MP Shri VD Sharma said that former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee was a globally popular leader. He led the Indian delegation at the United Nations. He was a universally accepted leader in the country. Even while being in the opposition, he represented India abroad. He worked extensively on good governance.
Distinguished Personalities Were Honored
CM Dr. Yadav honored several distinguished individuals during the Gwalior Gaurav Diwas celebration. Renowned singer Shri Suresh Wadkar was honored for his singing presentation, Shri Jagdish Tomar for his contribution to literature, Ms. Karishma Yadav for her achievements in sports, Shri Akhilesh Pachauri for his contributions to yoga, Dr. S.N. Iyengar for his service in the medical field, Baba Seva Singh for his work in education and environment, Shri Vikas Goswami for social service, Shri Keshav Pandey for his work in writing and art culture, and Ms. Aadya Dixit for her contributions to research and academics.
CM Dr. Yadav congratulated all the awardees. The event was attended by Shri Hitanand Sharma, MP Shri Bharat Singh, former minister Shri Jaibhan Singh Pawaiya, former mayor Shri Vivek Shejwalkar, and other public representatives.
