CM Dr. Yadav visited flood-affected areas in Pachawali village of Shivpuri district on Monday and personally reviewed the situation. He distributed financial aid to residents affected by the floods for house damage and food assistance. CM Dr. Yadav also listened to the concerns of villagers during his visit.
Union Minister Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, Shivpuri MLA Shri Devendra Jain, Kolaras MLA Shri Mahendra Singh Yadav, former MLA Shri Prahlad Bharti, along with public representatives, Collector Shri Ravindra Kumar Chaudhary, Superintendent of Police Shri Aman Singh Rathore, and District Panchayat CEO Shri Himanshu Jain were present during the inspection.
CM Dr. Yadav reiterated that the government stands with citizens in every situation—be it loss of life, livestock, or crops. Relief funds will be directly transferred to the affected families’ bank accounts. He said his visit was to understand the pain and suffering of the flood-affected, and assured that the government is with them in every possible way.
CM Dr. Yadav emphasised, “The government’s foremost responsibility is to ensure the safety of every citizen.” He acknowledged that the crisis brought on by excessive rainfall is a test of resilience. With public cooperation and dedicated administrative efforts, the situation is being brought under control. He further assured that ongoing relief operations in the flood-hit areas will continue with full commitment and are being constantly monitored. Chief Minister Dr.Yadav consoled the victims and urged them not to worry, saying that the government stands firmly with them in these trying times.
Union Minister Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia added, “We stand with the affected citizens in every moment of joy and sorrow. Every possible assistance will be ensured during this crisis.” He noted that this year’s rainfall has far exceeded the average, leading to the overflowing of the Sindh River, which submerged 32 villages including Pachawali.
Minister Shri Scindia informed that two helicopters were dispatched from Gwalior for relief operations, but due to adverse weather conditions, they were unable to reach the affected zones. Nonetheless, with the coordinated efforts of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, CM Dr. Yadav, and dedicated relief teams, around 400 people were successfully rescued, and immediate financial support was provided.
He also mentioned that maize and soybean crops have suffered significant damage. To address this, CM Dr. Yadav has directed officials to ensure timely compensation for the affected farmers.
