CM Dr. Yadav inaugurates development works worth Rs 160 crore and performed Bhoomi-pujan

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the Bundelkhand region is on the cusp of transformation, with both its destiny and landscape set to change. He highlighted that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone to fulfill the vision of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee on December 25. Dr. Yadav made these remarks during a farmers’ conference and public welfare camp organized in Satai, Chhatarpur district, on Thursday.As part of the ongoing Jankalyan Parv celebrations, which run from December 11 to December 26, focused efforts are being made to achieve the holistic development of the state. During the event, Dr. Yadav distributed benefits to numerous beneficiaries, inspected stalls set up by self-help groups, and dedicated and laid the foundation for development projects worth ₹160 crore. The Chief Minister also extended an invitation to all to participate in the *Bhoomi Pujan* ceremony of the Ken-Betwa Link Project by Prime Minister Shri Modi, an event coinciding with the 100th birth anniversary of Late Shri Vajpayee.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav remembered the bravery and sacrifice of Maharaj Chhatrasal and Alha-Udal by reciting the lines of the local poet, ‘Chhatta Tere Raj Mein Dhak-Dhak Dharti Hoye, Jit-Jit Ghoda Mukh Kare, Tit-Tit Fatte Hoye’. He said that after December 25, this land of heroes will also be known for development. On this day, Prime Minister Shri Modi will lay the foundation for the rejuvenation of the Bundelkhand region. After this, ‘drought’ in Bundelkhand region will become a thing of the past. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that it was former Prime Minister Late. Shri Vajpayee who for the first time dreamed of proper management of scattered water power by connecting the rivers across the country.
The Chief Minister said that in order to fulfill Late Shri Vajpayee’s dream, Prime Minister Shri Modi, like Bhagiratha, started river link projects across the country. Dr. Yadav expressed happiness over the fact that Madhya Pradesh has been blessed with two of these projects. The MoA and foundation laying ceremony of the first PKC project was done in Jaipur on 17th December in the presence of Prime Minister Shri Modi.
Expressing happiness over the foundation laying ceremony of the Ken-Betwa River Linking Project on December 25, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Central government will bear the expenditure of Rs 90 thousand crore on this project costing Rs 1 lakh crore. Dr. Yadav said that the Ken-Betwa Link Project will provide water for irrigation, drinking water, and industrial use in an 8.5 lakh hectare area of Madhya Pradesh and a 2.5 lakh hectare area of neighbouring Uttar Pradesh.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav assured that now Bundelkhand will be endowed with water power, this will make farmers prosperous and there will be prosperity in the area. Local youth will not have to migrate for jobs, because, for the first time in the state, our government has taken the initiative to take industries to small towns by organizing the Regional Industry Conclave.
Khajuraho MP Shri Sharma said that to fulfill former Prime Minister Late. Shri Vajpayee’s dream, Prime Minister Shri Modi is coming to pay tribute to him on his 100th birth anniversary through the Ken-Betwa Link Project. This project will solve the water problem in Bundelkhand and the Ken-Betwa project will be a good solution to the problem of poverty and drought in Bundelkhand. Minister of State for Forest and Environment Shri Ahirwar and MLA Rajesh Shukla in their address expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and Prime Minister Shri Modi for the gifts given and the Ken-Betwa link project.

Lalita Yadav, MLA Rajnagar Shri Arvind Pateria, District Panchayat President, Sushri Vidya Agnihotri, former UP minister Shri Mahendra Singh, former MLA Shri Umesh Shukla, former MLA Shri Pushpendra Nath Pathak, Shri Chandrabhan Singh Gautam, Shri Pushpendra Pratap Singh and other public representatives were present.
