Haryana CM holding a review meeting for disbursement of funds for different schemes

In order to release the remaining funds for the post-matric scholarship for SC students, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has instructed officers to call a joint meeting of officers from the Department of Social Justice, Empowerment, Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes and Antyodaya Department (SEWA) and the Higher Education Department as soon as possible. Additionally, in order to safeguard students from having financial barriers to continuing their studies, the scholarship money should be awarded at the time of acceptance starting this year. This was the venue of the CM’s review meeting today.

SC students having a household income of less than Rs 2.5 lakh per year were eligible to apply for the Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme. Currently offering a monthly annuity of Rs 15,000, the Haryana State Shubhra Jyotsna annuity Scheme’s sum has to be increased, per the Chief Minister’s directive to the authorities. According to him, Rs 61,000 of the Rs 71,000 allotted under the Mukhyamantri Vivah Shagun Yojana should be paid out at the time of registration so that the recipients can use it for their daughters’ weddings. According to Saini, the Haryana government has assumed the duty of providing care for elderly people over 80 who, for a variety of reasons, lived alone. The state was establishing the Samarth Vriddh SEWA Ashram Scheme in order to achieve this. These ashrams will open in the following locations in the first phase: Gurugram, Hisar, Jhajjar, Sirsa, Sonepat, and Yamunanagar.

Money for sewing machines, bicycles, and toolkits

The Chief Minister made a major decision to distribute the outstanding monies for sewing machines, toolkits, and bicycle plans right away, on behalf of the workers of the Haryana Building and Other Construction Welfare Board. Additionally, he gave the officers instructions to design a new program that would offer construction welfare board employees health coverage akin to those of ESI.

Mool Chand Sharma, the minister of industries, commerce, and labor, was also present during the meeting. He also gave the order to handle worker death claims immediately away in order to help impoverished families financially.
