CM Mohan Yadav has said that Panna is a land blessed by God, known both for its Heeras (Diamonds) and the Heroes.
CM Mohan emphasised that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state government is working for the welfare of every section of society. CM Dr. Yadav said that on the auspicious occasion of ‘Raksha Bandhan’, the state government extended several benefits to women. ‘Ladli Behna’ received ₹250 as a special Rakhi gift. From ‘Bhai Dooj’, after Diwali, they will start receiving ₹1,500 per month, which will gradually increase to ₹3,000 per month by 2028. CM Dr. Yadav assured that there will be no shortage of funds for the welfare of ‘Ladli Behnas’. He said, citing a recent survey, that wherever the ‘Ladli Behna’Yojana has been implemented, families have witnessed prosperity. He reiterated that the state government is firmly committed to protecting the dignity of mothers and sisters and ensuring their economic empowerment.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing a mahila sammelan in Amanganj, Panna district, on Friday. On the occasion, he also inaugurated and laid foundation stones for development works worth ₹106 crore.
CM Dr. Yadav recalled Bundelkhand’s glorious history, noting that the heroic tales of Maharaja Chhatrasal and the warriors Alha & Udal are still sung. Bundelkhand has always been a land of sacrifice and valor. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India demonstrated valor through Operation Sindoor, delivering a lesson to those who dared to violate the dignity of women. Referring to the brutal killing of innocent tourists in Pahalgam by Pakistani terrorists, he said that the Indian Army, under PM Modi’s leadership, entered enemy territory and eliminated the terrorists.
Bundelkhand Poised to beat Punjab, Haryana in Agriculture: CM Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the state government is promoting industries in every district and making every effort to provide youth with employment and self-employment opportunities. Recruitment is underway for 22,500 police posts, and over 1 lakh government jobs will be filled within a year. He assured that youth in Madhya Pradesh will no longer have to wander in search of employment.
CM Dr. Yadav said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has gifted the state river-linking projects worth ₹1 lakh crore, including the Ken-Betwa Link Project, which will provide irrigation benefits to Panna and the entire Bundelkhand region. He appealed to farmers of Bundelkhand not to sell their land, asserting that in the future, Bundelkhand will surpass Punjab and Haryana in agricultural production. He further highlighted welfare schemes, stating that the central government has provided permanent houses to the poor, delivered clean drinking water to households through the Nal Jal Yojana, and ensured free medical treatment of up to ₹5 lakh under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme. The state government, he added, is also supporting school students with scooters, laptops, scholarships, uniforms, bicycles, and books.
CM Dr. Yadav Announces Development Projects in Panna
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced that he will soon visit Panna for the Bhoomi Pujan of a new medical college. He also declared plans to connect Panna with Khajuraho by rail, build a stadium and a permanent helipad in Panna and upgrade the Amanaganj hospital. CM Dr. Yadav also announced Opening seven new sub-health centers in Gunaur constituency, Establishing a new college in Saleha, Introducing new faculties at Devendra Nagar Government College and upgrading schools, Beautification of the Agastya Muni Ashram, Launch of the lift irrigation project under Bargi Canal Irrigation System (Narmada Valley Development Authority), benefiting 114 villages and irrigating 25,000 hectares of land, Increasing the capacity of the Vrindavan Dam in Garhipadriya, repairing canals and initiating the Gunusagar Irrigation Project.
Member of Parliament Shri V.D. Sharma said that CM Dr. Yadav is committed to the development of every constituency in the state. He noted that Panna district will play a key role in the ₹12,500 crore Jal Jeevan Mission and highlighted ongoing projects in Panna and Gunaur, including hospitals, river bridges, playgrounds, and roads. MLA and former minister Shri Brijendra Pratap Singh and MLA Shri Rajesh Verma also addressed the gathering.
Exhibition Visit
CM Dr. Yadav visited an exhibition of departmental schemes at the program venue and inspected displays at various stalls. The event was attended by Forest and Environment Minister Shri Dilip Ahirwar, Chairman of the Backward Classes Commission Shri Ramkrishna Kusmaria, MLA Shri Prahlad Lodhi, Panna Zila Panchayat President Smt. Meena Raje Parmar, Panna Municipal Council President Smt. Meena Pandey, Commissioner Sagar Division Shri Anil Suchari, Inspector General of Police Smt. Himani Khanna, Deputy Inspector General of Police Shri Lalit Shakyawar, Collector Shri Suresh Kumar, Superintendent of Police Shri Sai Krishna S. Thota, along with public representatives, a large number of citizens and women.
