CM Mohan Yadav announced that a major transformation is underway in Bundelkhand. Addressing a public ceremony on the occasion of Maharaja Chhatrasal Jayanti and Panna Nagar Gaurav Diwas, he said the Ken-Betwa River Linking Project will bring prosperity to Panna, Damoh, Chhatarpur, and the entire Bundelkhand region. “Farmers’ lives will change for the better, and happiness will prevail across the area”, he said.
CM Mohan Yadav performed Bhoomi-Pujan and inaugurated development works worth over ₹90 crore, including the Shri Jugal Kishore Lok project. He stated that soon, Panna will receive further gifts such as a Medical College.
Highlighting Panna’s historical and natural wealth, the Chief Minister said the land is blessed with courage and immense diamond reserves. He recalled how Maharaja Chhatrasal had wisely chosen Panna as his capital, and that the city is home to the finest diamonds in India. With the development of Shri Jugal Kishore Lok, pilgrims from across the country will be drawn here, promoting tourism and boosting the local economy.
CM Mohan Yadav emphasized the state government’s commitment to good governance, citing the closure of liquor shops in Panna and 18 other religious towns. He said the government plans to replace liquor shops with milk parlors and promote animal husbandry and cow protection. The honorarium for cows in cow shelters has been raised from ₹20 to ₹40 per day.
CM Mohan Yadav announced that the biography of Maharaja Chhatrasal will be included in school curricula to educate students about his bravery and legacy. The state government will also celebrate Chhatrasal Jayanti officially.
CM Mohan Yadav announced Raah Veer Yojana- ₹25,000 reward for helping road accident victims reach hospitals in time. Widow Remarriage Kalyani Yojana- ₹2 lakh assistance, Ladli Bahna Yojana- Monthly assistance to be increased to ₹3,000 over the next five years. Jagannath Yatra-To be included under the Department of Religious Trusts and Endowments. Geeta Bhavans-To be established in all towns with auditoriums and libraries. Adarsh Vrindavan Villages-To be developed at the block level to promote cow-based rural economy.
He also declared Upgradation of Ajaygarh Hospital, Inclusion of Govind Temple, Baldau Temple, Prannath Temple, and Janki Temple in the development works of Jugal Kishore Mahalok. Renovation of ponds and completion of a stadium and Opening of a new college in Brajpur.
CM Mohan Yadav offered floral tributes at the statue of Maharaja Chhatrasal in Chhatrasal Park, and also paid homage at the Chhatrasal Gaddi. He met with members and office-bearers of the Shri Prannath Temple Trust to review their ongoing work.
Member of Parliament Shri B.D. Sharma thanked the Chief Minister for gifting a Medical College, Agriculture College, and Ayurvedic Hospital to Panna. He also appreciated the NMDC Diamond Park and Museum, which have earned Panna international recognition. He remarked that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the region’s development journey is progressing at a rapid pace.
