CM Mohan Yadav directed district administrations to ensure proper arrangements for fertiliser distribution and maintain continuous dialogue with farmer organizations.
Representatives of farmer bodies should also be involved in the distribution system. CM Mohan said that if disorder is reported in fertiliser distribution at the district level, the respective District Collector will be held accountable. The Chief Minister assured that the state government stands firmly with farmers in every situation.
CM Mohan reviewed relief measures in flood and heavy rainfall-affected areas and the status of fertiliser distribution in districts on Wednesday at Samatva Bhavan, CM Residence. Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain, Director General of Police Shri Kailash Makwana and senior officials attended the meeting. Collectors and related officers of all districts joined virtually.
Keep Farmers Informed About Actual Fertiliser Availability
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasized the need for an intensive review of fertiliser availability in districts. Stock information should be shared with public representatives so that farmers are kept informed about the real situation of fertiliser availability. District administrations must ensure surprise inspections and monitoring of double-lock godowns, PACS, and private sales centers. Additional sales centers should be opened immediately. Officers of agriculture, cooperative banks and marketing federations must maintain constant coordination.
53 FIRs Registered, 88 Licenses Cancelled for Fertiliser-Related Illegalities
The availability and transit status of Urea, DAP, NPK, SSP, MOP, and DAP+NPK for Kharif 2025 was reviewed, and necessary instructions were issued regarding nano and bio-fertiliser distribution. The Chief Minister was informed that in cases of black marketing, illegal storage, unauthorised transport, and counterfeit fertilisers, 53 FIRs have been registered. Additionally, 88 licenses were cancelled, 102 suspended, and sales at 406 outlets were prohibited.
Follow Innovations for Improved Fertiliser Distribution
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav discussed distribution mechanisms with the Collectors of Dhar, Damoh, Jabalpur and Rewa. Damoh Collector informed that farmer representatives are being involved through continuous dialogue, and that token distribution has been separated from fertiliser supply. Tokens are issued at Tehsil offices, while fertilisers are distributed at sales centers. The Jabalpur Collector said that tokens are allotted via phone calls, with display boards installed at distribution centers to indicate token numbers and stock availability. The Chief Minister directed other districts to adopt such innovative practices.
Police Administration Must Stay Alert During Flood Situation
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav instructed that immediate relief measures must be initiated in areas where crops have been damaged by heavy rainfall. In case of human or livestock loss, relief must be provided within 24 hours. He ordered arrangements for temporary camps, rations and food distribution at all potential flood sites. With heavy rainfall forecast for the coming days, police and administration were asked to remain alert, ensure barricading at bridges and strictly prevent crossing during floods.
