CM Mohan Yadav has said that the Shiva Temple at Devtalab is unique, where one can feel the presence of the five elements.
CM Mohan : Such a marvelous temple, he added, could only have been created by Lord Vishwakarma. Devtalab, Banaras, and Prayagraj together form an important spiritual triangle. Devtalab is a confluence of faith, history, and bliss, and is believed to be the land of penance of Rishi Shringi. It is a traditional belief that the pilgrimage to Char Dham attains fulfillment only after having the darshan of Lord Shiva at Devtalab.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the inauguration and foundation-laying ceremony of development works held at the Devtalab Stadium in Mauganj on Sunday. He inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of development projects worth ₹241.33 crore, distributed benefits to beneficiaries under various schemes, and announced several gifts for the development of Mauganj. He also performed Kanya Pujan and laid the foundation of the Joint District Office building in Mauganj.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the villages of India are extraordinary examples of self-reliance. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the entire nation is moving forward with the spirit of self-reliance and ‘swadeshi’ in today’s global scenario. As a result of this strength, India’s achievements are being recognised across the world. He said that Swami Vivekananda’s prophecy that the 21st century would belong to India is coming true today, with Prime Minister Modi realising the ideals of revered Narendra Nath Dutta. Welfare of the poor, youth, farmers, and women remains the Prime Minister’s top priority. It is a matter of pride, he said, that the Prime Minister will be visiting Madhya Pradesh later this month.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the land between Prayagraj and Kashi Vishwanath reflects the devotion of the deities. For him personally, visiting Devtalab has always been a joyful and fortunate experience. He stated that the Sanatan culture has shown the world the path of humanity and righteous living. Today, under the global leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India stands at the center of shaping key global policies. It is a matter of pride and self-respect for all Indians that major powers, including the United States, seek the acceptance and leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
Farmers and Soldiers are the Pride of Our Nation
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that honouring farmers in the fields and soldiers on the borders is the highest priority of his government. Through the Kisan Samman Nidhi and various other initiatives, sustained efforts are being made to ensure the welfare of farmers, with adequate provision of irrigation and electricity. Recently, the Hanumana Lift Irrigation Project has been approved, which will provide irrigation to more than 1.40 lakh hectares in Rewa, Sidhi, Singrauli and Mauganj districts. He noted with pride that electricity generated at the Rewa Solar Plant is powering the Delhi Metro. In Ghurehta, Mauganj, Patanjali Group is setting up agriculture-based industries worth ₹1,000 crore, benefiting lakhs of farmers. Over 64,000 households have received LPG connections under the Ujjwala Yojana, and 44,000 poor families in rural and urban Mauganj have been provided permanent housing under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also announced that from after Diwali, Ladli Behnas will receive ₹1,500 per month in their accounts, which will be increased to ₹3,000 per month by 2028.
Major Developmental Announcements for Mauganj
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced the construction of Shivlok at Devtalab Shiva Temple, new tehsil buildings at Naigadhi and Devtalab, and the upgradation of Devtalab’s hospital into a Community Health Centre. The facilities at Bahuti Waterfall will be enhanced by the Tourism Development Corporation and beautification works will be carried out at the Ashtbhuja Mata Temple. A new 11 km road from Teepa Bador to Garhwa Road in the tribal region will also be constructed.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav appreciated the cultural performances by folk artists from Banaras during the event, announcing ₹25,000 for the troupe, ₹5,000 each for every folk dancer, and ₹50,000 for folk singer Rakhi Dwivedi, who sang the welcome song.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla said that under the leadership of CM Dr. Yadav, Madhya Pradesh has achieved historic development in less than two years. He said there has been no shortage of funds for development works, and today, Mauganj has received projects worth ₹241 crore. The recently approved ₹6,000 crore Hanumana Lift Irrigation Project will ensure water reaches every field in Mauganj. He also highlighted that the organisation of Industrial and Tourism Conclaves in Rewa has opened new avenues of progress in the Vindhya region.
MLA and former Assembly Speaker Shri Girish Gautam welcomed the Chief Minister and presented various proposals for the development of the region.
