On the second day of CM Mohan Yadav’s ongoing three-day visit to Dubai, a breakfast meeting was hosted by Indian Consul General Shri Satish Kumar Sivan. During this session, it was decided to establish a permanent communication channel at the Indian Embassy level to ensure consistent and structured engagement between Madhya Pradesh and the UAE.
CM Mohan Yadav highlighted the critical role that the Indian diplomatic mission can play in globally showcasing Madhya Pradesh as a key part of Brand India. The meeting took place at Bombay Brasserie, Taj Business Bay, where he was briefed on various Indian community activities and identified areas of mutual collaboration in the UAE.
Key discussions included efforts to encourage overseas entrepreneurs of Madhya Pradesh origin to invest back in their home state, exploring the promotion of cultural and spiritual tourism between Dubai and Madhya Pradesh, and the active involvement of the Indian Mission in hosting an “MP Day” event in Dubai.
CM Mohan Yadav underlined the importance of collaborative work in core sectors such as industry, infrastructure, healthcare, education, and tourism. It was agreed that the Indian Mission would assist in facilitating direct engagement between major industrial groups in Dubai and the Madhya Pradesh government’s industry department. A proposal was also made to host sector-specific roundtable discussions—led by the Indian Consulate—focusing on high-potential areas such as agriculture, textiles, electric vehicles, logistics, and tourism.
CM Mohan Yadav responded positively to all suggestions. Consul General Sivan shared that entrepreneurs from Madhya Pradesh involved in MSMEs and currently working in Dubai could be identified and linked to the state’s industry-friendly policies. Discussions also explored collaboration opportunities in technical education and skill development, particularly in the fields of EVs and solar technology.
Reiterating his support, CM Mohan Yadav again emphasized the significant role of Indian diplomatic missions in positioning Madhya Pradesh prominently on the global stage.
Senior state officials, including Additional Chief Secretary Urban Development and Housing Shri Sanjay Dubey, Principal Secretary of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Shri Raghvendra Singh, Principal Secretary of Tourism and Culture Shri Shivshekhar Shukla, and Secretary and Commissioner of Public Relations Dr. Sudam Khade, were also present at the briefing.
