CM Mohan Yadav has announced that Madhya Pradesh, renowned as India’s Tiger State, will soon welcome a new addition to its wildlife reserves. Madhav National Park, located in Shivpuri district, is set to become the state’s 9th tiger reserve, enhancing the Chambal region’s appeal as a prime destination for wildlife tourism.
CM Mohan Yadav revealed that he will personally release a pair of tigers into Madhav National Park. The anticipated rise in tourism in the Chambal area is expected to generate employment and self-employment opportunities for local youth. Notably, Kuno National Park in this region has also made history by becoming the first location in Asia to reintroduce cheetahs. Furthermore, conservation initiatives for gharials and dolphins are actively progressing in the Chambal river area.
Addressing the media on Wednesday, CM Mohan Yadav emphasized that Madhya Pradesh leads the nation in tiger population, attracting a steady stream of tourists. National parks across the state witness consistent visitor inflows throughout the safari season. He expressed pride in the state’s success in tiger conservation, extending his congratulations to the Forest Department’s officials and staff, as well as the people of Madhya Pradesh, for their dedicated efforts.
