CM Mohan Yadav inaugurates the newly built flyover bridge and elevated corridor connecting Gayatri Mandir to Ganesh Mandir.
CM Mohan Yadav today inaugurated a Rs 154 crore flyover in Bhopal, a project that will greatly enhance the city’s development. This three-kilometer-long flyover, linking Gayatri Mandir to Ganesh Mandir, has been named after the esteemed patriot and constitution maker, Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. CM Yadav remarked that Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, has evolved from a small village in 1956 to one of the most beautiful capitals in the country. He assured that under the current government, the city’s development would continue to progress swiftly. The inauguration coincided with the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. This new flyover will improve connectivity by linking the Netaji Subhash Chandra Setu and Veer Savarkar Setu. CM Yadav congratulated the Public Works Minister and his department for overcoming challenges during the flyover’s construction. He also announced plans for another flyover at Bavadiya-Kalan costing Rs 180 crore and mentioned that the Bairagarh Bridge would be inaugurated soon.
CM Mohan Yadav addressed the gathering after inaugurating the 3 km flyover in Bhopal on Thursday. He stated that the flyover would ease traffic routes to Obaidullaganj, Narmadapuram, Betul, Khandwa, and Jabalpur. While praising Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, whose birth anniversary coincided with the event, CM Mohan Yadav emphasized that Netaji’s life serves as an inspiration for all. He highlighted significant moments in Netaji’s life, such as passing the ICS exam in 1923 and winning the Indian National Congress Presidential election with the highest votes, choosing patriotism over British loyalty.
CM Yadav also underscored Baba Saheb Ambedkar’s crucial role in promoting equality and shaping India’s Constitution, noting his opposition to Article 370. He announced plans to develop ‘Panch Teerth’ pilgrimage sites to honor Ambedkar’s legacy, which will include locations such as his birthplace, initiation site, karmabhoomi, education place, and the site of his passing.
CM Mohan Yadav praised the contributions of legendary warrior women such as Devi Ahilyabai, Rani Durgavati, and Rani Lakshmibai, emphasizing their role in boosting the nation’s pride. He announced the upcoming introduction of a women empowerment policy and highlighted the government’s mission focused on the welfare of women, youth, farmers, and the underprivileged. CM Mohan Yadav also shared that significant efforts are underway to attract investments to the state, with industrialists showing interest at a recent investors’ conference in Pune. He pointed out that the natural beauty of regions like Bhopal has impressed potential investors.
Public Works Minister Shri Rakesh Singh praised CM Mohan Yadav for leading the state to new heights of development. He stated that the flyover will greatly improve traffic management in the city, offering relief to commuters. Minister Singh emphasized that modern infrastructure is crucial for any state’s progress, and under CM Mohan Yadav leadership, development is advancing rapidly. He highlighted that the Chief Minister prioritizes development projects and ensured that the flyover was dedicated to the public immediately, showcasing his sensitivity and commitment. He also informed that elevated corridors are being built in the state’s metros at a cost of around Rs 3000 crore, along with 361 bridges and road expansions in remote areas. Four-lane roads are being upgraded to six-lane roads, and expressways are being constructed at a fast pace. Minister Singh further shared that he and senior officials recently visited various states to study their development models, which will now be implemented in Madhya Pradesh.
MP Shri V.D. Sharma commended CM Mohan Yadav for leading the state towards a ‘Swarnim Madhya Pradesh’ and praised the team’s determination to accelerate development. He mentioned that infrastructural projects like flyovers not only benefit society but also provide a significant boost to development.
Huzur MLA Shri Rameshwar Sharma noted that under CM Mohan Yadav leadership, new dimensions of development are being introduced, and the newly built flyover will play a vital role in improving Bhopal’s traffic system, even making the city feel vibrant at night. Bhopal Mayor Smt. Malti Rai expressed her gratitude, and MLA Shri Bhagwan Das Sabnani, public representatives, and a large number of citizens were also present at the event.
